Anyone know anything about the Jones Farm or any of its history?

Th farm originally belonged to the Blake family that settled oak hill, just the land though.TRUTHFULLY though Oak Hill should put a statue or something of Herbert Jones, he paid and had built the big church and Library, BUT NOOOOO some of the stupid people around here want to memorialize a drunen drug addict that died at the skyline drive in, go figure what an example for our kids.Old hanks music is ok don't get me wrong there but damn! hank never built us a church or library the only money of his ever spent here was to the funeral home.

Just so you do understand the facts and history, Hanks died somewhere on the road in route to a concert. The young driver of Hanks CoupeDeville noticed he had not moved in awhile, pulled the car over and got no response from him, the next stop was the Skyline Drive In where he was given directions to the OakHill Hos. Hank was pronounced dead there. So as to where Hank actually passed is Unknown!!! Also my family were friends Of Herbert, Charles, Thomas, And Tanis......

I've been in both the white House and the mansion and the white house is beautiful inside and it's sad but the mansion is falling apart inside the walls are cracked and all kinds of stuff. The joneses have enough money to fix it up but I don't know why they won't but I think they should and turn it into a bed and breakfast and give tours or something.

They should fix the old Jones mansion up...and turn it into the Hank Williams Museum this town has been begging for!

Charlie did not die... We have very close contact with them and he is certainly not dead.. Some people just post anything knowing nothing about it.

Thats just wrong, his dad built a church and library for us and we have never done anything for him and with the pill and drug problems here in Oak Hill I think it is a bad idea to Tribute a drug head who died in our community from a overdose.

I also would love to go inside. I wonder if the family would sale it. It would beautiful if someone in this town would restore it instead of rebuilding in thousand oaks. I also agree that they should build a statue of Mr Jones for he did to get oak hill on the map. So to his family. Thank you.

I worked in the nursing home that Mr.Jones' driver worked in Razzy and his mind would come and go but on a good day he'd tell you about Mr. Jones and how his family were bought there to from what I gathered be his slaves, instead Mr. Jones treated them very well and even taught Raz how to read and write because they weren't allowed to attend school back then so Mr. Jones spent his time with a young black boy teaching him..He taught him how to drive and when his parents passed away he was still young but Mr. Jones still kept him and treated him with respect and from what I gather Mr. Jones' family including his children weren't as nice as he was..So when Mr. Jones passed on he left a will that noone could make Razzy leave or put him out and left him money to live on and be taken care of incase something happened to him..Razzy was one of a kind sweet as could be when he had his mind but when he didn't whew...LOL Anyhow I'm just going by what he told me..

That is the most beautiful home in this town. I would love if there were tours or something. Oak Hill has gone way down hill with pills and our streets becoming increasingly filthy, with business leaving the area to go elsewhere. This used to be a nice place to live. It needs cleaned up, and all the druggies and trashy homes tore down. We need our nice little town back. It is sad.
