Fred House Photography

I have a picture of the Coupeville wharf that I discovered in my mother's pictures. The sticker on the back says "Photography by Fred House, Rt 1 Box 45A, Coupeville, WA. The picture is signed by Fred House and he handwrote "#120 Coupeville Wharf". It is framed in a frame that has bubble glass. I believe the picture may date from the 40's or 50's as my family had a summer cabin on Whidbey Island from the late 40's through the 90's and the wharf is very dilapidated.

Does anyone know anything about Fred House? I'm interested in learning about photograher and the background of the photo.

Fred House ran his own local photography company, and was a local photographer for many years on Whidbey Island. Prior to his photography career, Fred was a Bombadier/Navigator ("BN") who flew Navy A-6 Intruders during the Vietnam War. After his photography career he worked supporting some military commands via the private sector on NAS Whidbey Island. At some point, he moved to Anacortes. He also worked in Seattle late in his life. Fred passed away a few years ago. His widow lived in Anacortes at the time of his passing. I also recall he had one son from a first marriage and a stepson from his second marriage, both of whom I believe benefited greatly having had Fred as a Dad.
