sad wrote: This whole situation is sad. As for the driver anyone who would do this must be fighting demons of their own, I am not excusing it but we must have compassion for them. She will have to live with the fact that she did this for the rest of her life. I must believe, and the reports add that she had a controlled substance, I have a feeling that she was not in her right mind. She may have problems with drugs that have caused her to be in an altered state of mind. Also she did not kill this child in cold blood. I don't think that she could be called a baby killer. Let me be clear, I AM NOT EXCUSING HER, but I am not calling her a baby killer. That child died as an indirect result of her bad choices. She did not kill it purposely, there is a difference between people who go out and kill and hurt children on purpose and those whose choices cause them to die. What if someone is talking on a cell phone or texting and is not paying attention hits someone and a child in the car dies? Are they then a baby killer? No they caused the childs death as a result of poor choices but they did not kill with intent. We as humans have the ability to reason and that sets us apart from other mammals. Lets not lose this. What she did was terrible and horrible but I don't think that it was done with evil intent and therefor I do not think that she should go to hell. Hell is for those who intentionally hurt and kill- not those who make horrible choices that hurt and kill but not with intent to harm others. I can not believe that she purposefully drove into those people. I don't think that she wanted to harm them. I am not saying that she does not deserve a very stiff consequence but I think that eternal damnation goes a bit too far and that classifing her as a baby killer detracts from those who do it purposefully- as I am guessing she did not. Thank you for a voice of reason~ people are going so far over board!!!! Reenie is NOT a killer, NOT evil, nor the person that so many on here are making her out to be!!!(I have known her since I was 14) She is a loving person, who is quite giving~ hurting someone physically would NEVER enter her mind!!! She would hurt herself before anyone else!!! She has made many bad choices in her life~ she has now lost the life she knew~ everyone is hurting due to her behavior~ the Parker family first and foremost~ but her family is hurting terrable, and her kids, and not to mention Noreen~ I have VERY little doubt that she wishes it was her that died rather than a little boy!!! Everyone lost hear~ Thanks for recognizing that she did not do this on purpose~ also thanks for not bashing her innocent family!!! We got a lot of those assholes on here too... Everyone just needs to take a step back and pray for all those whom are in need!!! Parkers, and Hessions need prayer to face the day!!! Pray for Noreen too~ pray that she can finally release the addictions and battle inside~ she is a loving person for all of you who love to hate her!!! Thanks again~ her family and friends appreciate it!!

I can't believe all that I am reading here. "tie the b**** up on let me at her". Where are we, Iraq? Should we hang her? Or stone her to death? She made a bad decision to get into that car after drinking. I don't think anyone is arguing that fact. No one is arguing that she should be made to endure the consequences of her actions either. But please people be human.

Again Noreen made many bad choices. This one caused the death of a beautiful little boy. SHe is to blame nobody else. Past posters are right. Take all the energy you have and focus it on prayers for Ariels family, esp. his mother. This will be never ending for her. I know this mother will want Noreen to pay, any mom would. However lets not condemn Noreens family in the process. They are a wonderful family who tried to get Noreen help. She failed them, they not her!!!! Pray for Ariel and both families. Designate a driver.........OR STAY HOME!

I can't even drink anymore. Irrisponsible people like this bitch ruined it for me. I used to think having a few drinks was okay, you know to relax have some good conversation. But now, each time I want to go out with my friends for a drink, I think about people like her. It makes me sick. I'm scared to even get in my car. I drive down 159th almost everyday, so do my Mother and Father. I feel lucky we weren't the victims of that tragic accident. I pray for the family of that child, that they will be able to cope with the loss of there loved one. As for the woman have fun in jail. I hope drinking and getting behind the wheel was worth it. Bitch.

I understand her car put him AND his car seat through the window. How about posting something less accusatory to the family who has just lost their baby instead next time. No I did NOT KNOW -- hence my questions! So again, how did HIS car seat fly thru the window? Did the mom also fly thru the window? Sounds like her seatbelt held her in... what happened to the child's carseat seatbelt? I am, of course!, sad for that family! I was just making a point to all those people out there who's children die in accidents because they do not protect their kids properly in car seats. I drive around town all the time to see children not restrained and it really gets me!

Are you related to the 3 year old that was killed? Well I am and I'm sorry but her family would not have been thinking to give a person reasonable bail if it happen to one of noreen's kids so before you go saying who is too blame then think about as if it were you and you lost a love one, the nerve! Yeah lets just let her out on bail so that her family can allow her to drink again and kill somebody else! That makes all the sense in the world NOT Families Fault wrote: <quoted text> The Hession family has stronger family values in one pinky then you have in your entire body! They tried many many many times to get Noreen help. They spent boat loads of money on a LOW LOW income because her father passed away years ago. Her mother is a wonderful passionate lady who has endured so many losses. She tried in vain to get her daughter the help she needed. The daughter is at fault not the family. THEY TRIED and TRIED and TRIED@!!! Don't spew your bull when you haven't all the facts hammer.....your time should be spent not casting stones but looking into helping. I know this family very well. I do hold Noreen accountable. I do NOT hold her family accountable. Believe me you have NO clue MrHammertime.

you dummy, think about what you say before you say it. The child was in a car seat and anything can cause a person or child to fly out of a car with or without a seatbelt depending on the speed and the impact, God I can't believe what some of you will say. How about you need to post that in a child carseat safety forum not one where a drunk driver kills a 3 year old me here wrote: <quoted text> No I did NOT KNOW -- hence my questions! there were other serious injuries like the mother you dummy, she had to have 20 staples to reattach her forehead and her ankle and hip was in shambles, they had to get the jaws of life to get the mother out of the vehicle. Get all the facts before you ask a dumb question like that I'm leaving this forum because maybe I'm bias! and secondly obviously you haven't had a child to die by the hands of a drunk driver before, lets see you go through that and then see if you still want to talk about car seats! me here wrote: I'd like to know if the child was in a car seat?? For those inquiring, this is public record and can be found in the court records. It's free to anyone interested. But you have to go to the Courthouse itself to see the records.
Will County: There is a Writ (this is a court order to bring the body (Noreen) before the judge)for March 18th. When Noreen appears before the judge (date/time below), she will be arraigned on the two DUI charges from the Jan 19 incident. Almost all DUI cases get two charges of DUI (Class A Misdemeanor)...one for Driving Under the Influence and the other (second) for a BAC of over .08. The two charges will be combined into one. The Jan. 19 incident is considered a 1st offense. The maximum sentencing on this will be 364 days (of which she will serve only 1/2). Fines may be imposed.
Will County Bail was posted at $100. She would have had to show her Illinois Driver's License and proof of valid insurance in order to have her totalled car towed from the impound lot (so as to avoid accrual of storage fees).
Noreen's next Will County Appearance:
March 18, 2008 9:00 a.m. Hon. Jame E. Egan 12th Judicial Circuit Court Room 304 14 W. Jefferson Street Joliet, IL 60432
Case No. 08DT141 (12th Jud. Cir. Ct.) Noreen A. Hession - Jan. 19, 2008

April 10, 2008 By KIM JANSSEN, Staff Writer A mother of two from Tinley Park pleaded innocent Wednesday to the reckless homicide of a 4-year-old Oak Forest boy, also denying 39 drunken driving counts and a drug charge. Noreen Hession, 31, is accused of killing preschooler Ariel Parker in a head-on, five-car pileup Feb. 22, after allegedly consuming a cocktail of champagne and prescription drugs. Her 2004 Cadillac sport utility vehicle veered across a center median and hit Parker's mother's car before hitting at least three other cars in a five-vehicle accident near the intersection of 159th Street and Oak Park Avenue, police said. Parker was dead within an hour after sustaining his injuries. Hession had been charged with DUI in Lockport just a month earlier, but under Illinois law, she was able to keep her driver's license for 46 days. Prosecutors say Hession still was well over the legal blood-alcohol content limit four hours after the fatal smash. She failed a sobriety test at the scene and admitted drinking before the accident, prosecutors allege. Police also found Valium stashed in a Tylenol bottle in her wrecked car. During Hession's first appearance in court, her attorney, public defender Kathryn Vahey, said Hession struggled with depression and bipolar disorder after the death of her sister in 2006. But appearing before Judge Kerry Kennedy at the Bridgeview courthouse Wednesday, Hession denied all charges. Hession is next due in court April 29. Kim Janssen can be reached at
Is this a rotten fuckin shame!!!!
