Corrupt Oak Forest

I hear that oak Forest is being investigated by the FBI about missing money found at the Leclaire station apartments. Found was $155,000 at the scene but when it showed up at OFPD the total counted was $109,000.

Also, it happened to be Mayor Kelley's nephew, Officer Quinn that picked up the $$ from the scene.

There is an FBI investigation currently going on. I was told by a friend that is a OF fireman. The details will be out soon, and I know officer Quinn.

I would ask the following regarding your special fire friend:-Was he/she on the scene when this occured? Have they reported this to local, state or federal law enforcement authorities? I have been in touch with sources close to the investigation and I know the answers. I think you now need to explain how & why you are posting bogus info.

Believe what you want "fact checker". You say you've "been in touch with sources close the THE investigation", so you are aware there's an investigation. Yes, this Fireman was on the scene. Be patient, you'll soon hear more. Go back to naperville with your bogus facts! It was the State fire marshall that called the OFPD to the scene, when Quinn arrived.

So Minooka/Schumburg traffix, if you knew how the site worked with regard to postings, you would not make idiotic comments about the town that pops up when you make a post.

I have talked to folks regarding the FIRE investigation.

You have not answered all the questions that were raised.

Has your special fire friend reported this to local, state or federal law enforcement authorities? Or are they merely passing on something they HEARD like you are. Fact checking is fun. A fact is something you know. A rumor is something you heard. WHICH is it?

Interesting comments. I saw this corruption stuff a few weeks ago and wondered what was going on. I jsut read that the fbi is not investigating the city so I guess some people like to stir the pot.

Everyone...If someone is misinformed on the facts of a case, please feel free to voice those facts in a kind and proper manner. Bullying tones, all caps included, only tend to force someone in the corner, or stifle them altogether.

Special K said he heard about an investigation.'Sergeant Quinn' ripped into him about that. But Laramie Guy and Fact Checker said they heard about an investigation, but they were not reprimanded and even tho they mentioned the investigation themselves, they throw insults at Special K/traffix.

This is a FORUM. People discuss what they've heard. As I said above, if you have information to prove someone is misinformed, please let them know. But be diplomatic.

Hey... I new I read about this several months ago. Looks as though there was $$$ at the recovered from the scene of the fire. There is a posting in the legal section of the southtown 7-17-08, that if the $$$ is not claimed within 10 days it will become property of Oak Forest. I'm sure it will go unclaimed, What will Oak Forest do with this $$$.

What I think is funny is that everyone posting on this thread, is that their location isn't even in Oak Forest. This city has enough bad PR from it's own residents, we don't need any outsiders stirring the pot. If you don't live in this town then "STFU"

And if you did live here and moved, put your nose in your own community. We don't need your help!

I am from Oak Forest. I assume it says Sugar Grove,IL because of my internet. "Everyone" posting on this thread could be from Oak Forest but there locations may say different. Don't be so ignorant. I was just giving information reqarding the subject. I've lived in Oak Forest for 35 years. The city has bad PR because of the sneaky actions the adminstration has carried out. It has damaged the town. The residents are meerly calling them out to force them to be more honest, which they obviously are not. I hope for a new, better, honest adminstration, thats all.

Struck a nerve! I got news for you, this town has had sneaky actions going on for years! It's just like any other town in the far south suburbs.

Your never going to have a government where you get 100% satisfaction from all of it's voters. Deal with it! There has to be a happy medium for anything to move forward.

I think that money found should be split between the P.D and the F.D for newer or more modern equipment.

And last but not least, crying on a forum isn't going to do jack for the city of Oak Forest.
You have to attend the meetings and unleash your thoughts in front of the council members. I sure am glad I'm not still using dial up!
