Should Tribal council members act like Leaders in the commuinty?

I think they should! I was at a bar and seen the chairman and his friends acting up. Saying thing that should have NEVER been said to other members.

I think My chairman has Done good for the people in my reservation..........And Just watch when /if he steps down nobody going to know what to do with out him..Sure they might be some people trying to step up and be a leader like him..But they are not going to succeed like he did..........>>> >>Holla Back

I go to the Lower Brule Sioux Tribe Rez. and I never seen or heard of the chairman drinking or acting up he's to busy Gambling.....

I Truly believe the leaders should do better then okay when they are in the community spotlight. If they're a real LEADER than why is Lower Brule still the SAME!!!!!!!! No Hope,No Jobs,No Housing,and Law Enforcement What LAWS do they inforce????????

I think there are plenty of people to take Mike's job. You are just scared your family won't get nothing when he is gone. Maybe the new chairman or chairwoman won't spend as much in the casino or on vehicles that the tribe pays for them and their families.

All Tribal Council members should be held responsible for their actions in public. You are the most reconized people on your reservations. When you are seen in public being intoxicated, cheating on your spouse and gambling you are going to be judged. So if you do show these kind of actions in public and don't care, then one can only imagine what you private live is like.

Mr. Jandreau hasn't done much for the people of the LB Tribe in a very long time. Somewhere along the way greed crept in. Not only for himself but it has infested his family and followers. The chairmans salary is outrageous as is, then he has use of a new vehicle and phone all paid for by the tribe not only him but his wife also. With their combined salaries they should be paying for these things themselves. Also everyone one of their kids have an 80 hr job but don't have to show up to get paid. If you verbalize your dissatisfaction or difference of opinion against Mike, his kids and grandskids go to those that are voicing their opinions, as is their right and these people get threated and harressed by his goon kid & grandkids squad. The chairman also has a gambling problem, where does the thousands of dollars that he gambles with come from, you know where, from the tribal monies that belong to everyone, not just him, to use as his own personal bank to take when and where he wants too. He has been stealing the peoples money for years and has nothing to show for it, because he's gambled it away.

What about the rape charges, his sons and brothers, the wrongs that have been done to our native women. Yet they still run around free, and the tribal pursrcutors step daughter, getting away with beating a girl and they lose the papers at the court house.

I thought Tribal Leaders ARE Role Models And what do they Do? They just go to there Closed tribal council meetings and collect a cheak. Uninforming the Real members about EVERYTHING!!

Why don't the members get a Divind that Mike has promised years ago, even had our elders thrown in jail because they didnt want and agree with Mike on the Idea of a casino. Everyone know the Casino is only there to benafit Mike himself because no MEMBERS have seen a penny!

What about the tribal Ranch,Farm,& Lakota Foods???? What Do the MEMBERS GET?? Nothing It's Mike Jandreau and White Guys NO real BRULIES

You Should Care your an enrolled member you have that right and only You can Make a differance in you're Life> And trust me buddy there is life outside the Rez. REAL life not Rez Life hope you get out while you can! Becase what's gonna change? NOT A DAmn THING!!!
