Simmons Lane AOL	Reply » \| Report Abuse \| Judge it! \| #25 Aug 22, 2009 Taken away by animal control simply means that the dog was taken into protective custody (free of charge) until other family members were able to redeem and care for the dog--just wanted to clear that up, lest people construe that being "taken away by animal control" is a bad thing--it's not-it's a good thing.:)

I'm sure there are lots of interested parties! But for sure this is a sad time for Spencer. If he hasn't already been redeemed, he will get lots of attention from the animal care staff.

But despite a horrible childhood and time as a marine in Viet Nam, he became a great doctor and he was loved. I don't blame the cops. His suicide was inevitable whether on that day or a different day. I treasure the good memories I have.
