Husband says shooting wife was accident

i worked with eric on job sites he used tobrag about hitting his wife i told him if he wanted to fight he should go to a bar and pick a fight he laughed and said anytime she talks back ill beat her ass he told me how he would grab her by the throat then beat her ass ive worked with him for years and he would always brag about beating her this was not an accident believe me this asshole belongs in jail for life ask his xboss a clue to the police murder 1 police do your job

Eric spoke about her as though she was the moon in the sky. He said she was the most important person in his life and his only family.

I write eric every couple of weeks.He has tound god its a sad thing that happened.He has been thier for a year in a half.They didnt charge him with murder.hope he gets out soon.He cant tell me what happened they read all the mail .I hope it was a accident.but if it wasnt he will get a long time in jail.He has changed i can tell by the letters.But if it wasnt they will give him 20 years.Hes 47 better to kill himself in jail .He has talked about that a couple of times.If hes found guilty ill tell him id rather be dead than get out of prison to get social security.even if hes found guilty hes my friend been writing him for 1.5 years no one writes him it makes me fell sad for him.God has forgiven him i guess i can to

That comment is truly from Leah Gumbs... Leah is not a person who would lie about anything even if it were to save herself... She's not that type of person...

I lived around the corner from her mother and although I did not know her mother I know that this is a messed up situation... This is an aggravated issue that ended in murder and it's very easy to view this situation from the outside and see that a person with his background and seeing the things he has said before as well as the fact this being a new marriage that this was murder...

An argument over a fishing pole should never lead to a person picking up a gun... There is something seriously wrong with that man whether I know the situation or not...

this was domestic violence at its finest. i do have to say that they have been cracking down. and putting people in jail real easy for domestics and violation of protective orders. but as in every case where there is mental, or drug issues... people like him, and myself need help. please understand that this women was an incre3dible person and i love her daughter as a friend. i couldnt believe it.

and the picture i posted is of me and my mother on the day they got married in there home where he shot MY mother. MY daughter will grow up never knowing her grandmother along with my neice and nephew, my mother was my best friend and Its fucked up for ANY one to stick up for chihan, Regardless of how it happened he is a murderer, he beat my mother, she showed up to my sisters baby shower with 2 black eyes from him. he didnt want her spending time with us, we would have to come visit her while he was at work and leave before he got home or he would be bugging out! you your self said he bragged about beating his wife...

I am john all i said was true he is sick .Why would a women let someone beat them like that .I have been married 24 years never would I hit my wife.She wouldnt stand for it and no person should.I sent him a letter today telling him about the new charges.he has found god i told him he will never get out.And he should try to be a preacher.The police called me made a couple appointments to talk and never called back.I told them i write him maybe thats it.If he gave your mom black eyes like you said god will take care of him.He is a nut i didnt know he did crack.he will never get out if what you said is true he should get death my wife said i should stop writing i will after case.let him suffer..i have a hard time believing a person can be like that .iwould never strike a person.I dont even fish i wont kill them

I've known Eric for many years. It's such an unfortunate incident and she didn't deserve to die. I believe it was an accident. He came from an abusive family

This is an extemely shocking event. Eric has been a friend for 20 yrs. He must have lost it to do this to Paige. He loved her. I feel so awful for both parties, this is tragic. I will never be the same after this.

it was no accident go to one of the probable cause hearings come to the trial you will see and he will rot ! i am with out a motherand my child with out a grandmother because she shot my mother from under 2 feet away guilty of murder!

I would like to add something to this topic. I sat in the same prison with Eric for 5 months last year while he awaited trial. He never talked about his case as he was very paranoid that everyone including the prison was out to frame him. He did state that it was an accident thats all he said. I didn't get to know him well however from what I could see is that he has a bad temper and anger issues. I believe he is guilty but he seems to believe the opposite. My condolences go out to the family and victim
