At 6pm there must have been numerous witnesses. But few will speak to the cop (or reporters) for fear of retribution. That is the atmosphere that exists along this very violent, high crime stretch of Stillwater Ave.

And because of that the crime will continue.

Breaking up the housing projects that are clustered together in that neighborhood would be an important first step to fixing that.

A Norwalk connection was a rumor,as it was they spent all day looking in Norwalk.

The Housing Authority a/k/a "Charter Oak" (what a sacrelige!) has done its best to reinvent the cluster on the old Easter Seal Rehab
Center property.

That very controversial plan just keeps the housing projects clustered along one mile of Stillwater Avenue (and even more on the neighboring streets). The problem won't be solved until they are spread lightly and evenly around all neighborhoods city, not just on the West and soon to be South sides of the city.
