2 conservatives are fascists who own very loud sheep. What’s your real issue with President Obama - is it that he was legitimately elected and not appointed by the Supreme Court like King George of Texas!? |

2 It's too bad the media focuses on the disruptive few. I think coverage is imbalanced in that it highlights the conflict and ignores the reality that most members of the audience were acting like responsible adults who had turned out to discuss a serious issue that affects everyone. |

1 I totally disagree with on a public plan. How about regulation that forces insurance companies to cover pre exsisting conditions. Stream line medical records and have tort reform. These all would lower costs and increase coverage. Why do you feel that a government plan is competion when it will alway have federal funds when it runs in the red. Private insurance won't have the same endless supply of taxpayer money. It's not competion this bill will cause but the elimination of private insurance completely in a short period of time. Then there will be NO Choices and no where else to turn to besides the federal government. This has less to do with the well being of our population and more to do with expanding government.THis bill also does not recognize at of the "48 million" uninsured that 14 to 20 million are living here illegally and will be able to get government health coverage. Attempts to link coverage with legal status were excluded from the bill HR3200 because the liberals in the government want care for even non citizens to have health care. |

Hear Ye, Hear Ye, Our dearest leader having broken fast and returned from ramadan has ordered a joint session of congress. There is no opposition to public option single payer health care, only noise from the lackeys of vile insurance companies. A "compromise" bill will be passed after which our leader will have it amended so that these insurance comapanies will be nationalized or go out of business in 5 years. ATTEND ALL WITH CHILDREN . Our dearest leader will address all grammer school children on tuesday in their classrooms. Obtain the study guide that has been issued for this appearance and have your children memorize the "Pledge to Obama" that your children will be commanded to recite. Keep vilifying evil insurance companies and prepare for the nationaliztion of our evil electric utilities next year under cap and trade

1 How intriguing that people like you, who don't want a public plan option for yourself, don't want it for anyone else who needs it, either. And even more intriguing -- you argue against a public plan because you don't want government involvement -- but then you say there should be "regulation" to force insurance companies to cover pre-existing conditions. Um .... that IS government involvement. Key point is you can't force insurers to accept pre-existing conditions because they'll say they'll lose money, lose profits, etc. So if you truly support big business, then how can you force these poor insurers to take on patients who are high risk and highly expensive?? IF you force them to take us, the premiums will be so high no one will be able to pay them anyway, so the net result is still people who are sick and can't get insurance. |

1 You are wrong. I am old enough to remember Republicans offering many health care alternative plans since the 1950's. During the last 60 years, Republicans never had a veto proof majority to pass a health care plan of their own, nor would they. Over the years, Democrats have refused to include any ideas from Republicans. By the way, without the votes from Republicans, Johnson would never have had Medicare and Medicaid passed in 1965. During the signing of the bill, he made it a point to thank the Republicans for their help. With these Government health care plans in place, there is no need to create another big bloated government plan. Just reform, fund, and update the present system. |

1 hmmm...a few comments: 1. In fact, George W. Bush did propose and put through a health care plan. Medicare Part D, prescription drugs. And many Democrats approved it. It truend out to cost far more than Bush claimed it would, and is part of the projected deficit Bush left the US with, but the GOP just discovered. 2. I always enjoy the right wing references to the civil rights bills and Medicare in the 60s. Yes, some Republican votes helped pass them. BUT..the majority of Dems supported them while a majority of Republicans opposed them. And the Republicans who supported them were from what was once a moderate wing of the GOP...the ones the current Republicans call "RINOs" (Republicans in Name Only). 3. The same right wing groups who call universal health care "socialist", said the SAME THING about Medicare 40 years ago. |
||||
|
Those democrats from forty years ago would be RINO's today. This is easy to determine from a reading of the party platforms of the era. Scoop Jacson would be the minority leader today.

Oh no its not socialist its theft.

09/09/09 FLASH.. The white house announces that The president will announce tonight the same health plan that has been discussed all along. It will insure illegal aliens, allow abortions on taxpayerrs dime, etc. The white house spokesperson(linda douglas) states that people don't understand the bill or have been misinformed. Anotherwords, we are pretty stupid and all these town halls have been a waste of time. It's Obamaway or the highway,if you don't go along you are racist or stupid. Maybe time for the minutemen and achildren of liberty to be reborn.
