What's going on is that the state has to prove that A.J. is a murderer. They couldn't do it.
A better question is: why has the state devoted resources to prosecuting an innocent confused teenager instead of going after the gangs that prey on confused teenagers? If the gangs were going after lawyers instead of kids we'd have the National Guard patrolling South Norwalk.
