Teenager arrested on warrant in Amsterdam
A Wayne County teenager is now in the Montgomery County jail after visiting someone else at the jail, the Sheriff's Office reports.

Yes it is.Unfortunetly,I live on the outskirts of Amsterdam. What is known as the southside.This is the section before you cross the bridge.Amsterdam has gotten nastier and nastier as the years have passed. And I am only 32,and it has gone down that much even in my lifetime. |

This is a bit off topic, but i used to remember an old windmill just outside Amsterdam. I was by there the other week and I missed it. Is it still up? Back in the 1970s it was a dilapadated old wreck, but I thought it was rehabed. Anyway, any info? Just curious... Jack |

It's still there,and still a wreck too. This whole town is too.My parents said Amsterdam used to be really nice years ago.No more.I remember when the Mall really was a mall. Now it's office space and such. |

No matter how this is said, it's going to sound races, but Amsterdam use to be real nice, but there's too many Puerto Ricans in Amsterdam and that's how the name Amsterico came about. I wouldn't mind the place if I could get out of my house and see 1 of each race, but now you see 1 white and 10 Puerto Ricans.
