To the voters that voted down the amendment to be upgraded on the new water system----- SHAME SHAME, It's no wonder your so called town has nothing but vacant buildings and no police patrols, you people don't want to see improvement!!!!! It's way to easy for you to sit around and try to think of ways for the government to keep your lazy a@#$% supported!!!! So what if you lost your CORPORATED town status.. All you think of is how are we going to receive the next free check from some made up government agency, that is willing to support you ignorant people!!!!

I agree with you, they will suffer in the long run. Their filtration plant is running on the brink of being shut down at any time. When they get smacked with the updated mandates and required to update the system, the cost will be so high, no one would invest that sum of money. Who is the so called leaders of Northfork? I guess they can find some old mining water in those hills to use. One other thing, sewer treatment will be an issue before long and the waste that get's dumped in the creeks will have to stop.

I dont belive you would vote for it either, the town paper SAID the residents them selfs wound have to put in the lines to the metors. And that would consist of a lot of money as ditches would have to be run up and down these mts, this town dont ne4ed a mayor or counsil its gone no police no one can leave at night for the crack heads. So they need to lock the doors and go home

I care alot about the place, I was born and raised there. I'm not ashame to tell people where I grew up and I would do it all over again. Well, not now because the place has really went down hill. I don't want to see it turn into another dried up Town and look like you're driving through Powhatan. But I guess it's too late, the Town is about gone and this latest move just sealed it's fate. I can only hope Keystone doesn't make the same mistake. In case you haven't been paying attention all the shit around there is going under. Just a matter of time and the State will come in and shut down that water facility, it's been on thin ice for years... Good luck to everyone there and I really wwish the best for all of you.

If u are expecting Mcdowell P.S.D. to supply your water u're S.O.L.anyway some time we are out of water 3&4 days at a time. and I live less than a mile from the pumping station. U cant get in touch with anyone except a answereing service to report u have no water.I think they dont to report it half the time.
