Vote for the Tea party candidates and we can ban more than books. We can ban sex, Social Security, Dept. of Agriculture, the Theory of Evolution, Medicare, and learning. We learned enough already we don't need no more stinking learning. I want it to be like when the founders were alive. Everyone who wanted one, owned a nag ger. Thats the ticket.

This event was not "dreamed up" by a tax-supported employee. It is sponsored by the American Library Association. The point of the event is to remind all of us that our First Amendment rights extend to the freedom to read whatever we want, without government interference or attempted censorship by small (yet vocal) segments of the population. Libraries and librarians have always defended our right to read a variety of viewpoints. Appreciate it!
