Not sure how activists can jab Romney on the economy given he is not in office. Maybe team Obama has found a way to blame him. Blaming is what Obama does best.

Today O'Blamer is blaming Governors and Mayors. Let's add them to the long list: Bush, Doctors, AIG Executives, Wall Street Fat Cats (except when they're at $34,500 per plate fundraisers FOR HIM), Seniors at Tea Party Protests, Voters in States who Cling to Guns and Religion and all the "Folks" who want to keep more of what they've earned from Obama's Redistribution Plans.

'No, It’s not fine

Posted: 10:49 PM, June 8, 2012

Mitt Romney had to be wondering: Is the president really that out of touch?

And not just Mitt Romney.

At an all-but-impromptu news conference yesterday, President Obama rambled past the latest distressing economic news — and then dropped this bomb:

“The private sector is doing fine.”

No, really.

Then came the president’s even more bewildering diagnosis of the real cause of America’s vexing economic stagnation: Government payrolls aren’t big enough.

“Where we’re seeing weaknesses in our economy,” he declared,“[has] to do with state and local governments” and payroll “cuts initiated by, you know, governors and mayors ... with fewer revenues coming in.”

It was vintage Obama: It’s not all that bad, but by the way it’s not my fault.

Then came the by-now-routine retrenchment:“The economy is not doing fine,” he conceded at a later press event.“There are too many people out of work.”

And by tomorrow, he’ll have moved on to the next phase: Why are the Republicans insisting that I said what I just said?

Well, of course Romney and other Republicans were quick as cats to pounce.

The economy is most certainly not doing fine: More than 23 million jobless Americans — victims of the longest sustained bout of 8 percent-plus unemployment since the Depression — certainly can testify to that.

And then there are the millions who have flat out stopped looking for a job; they don’t show up in the official statistics.

Job creation remains anemic — and even recent encouraging numbers have since been downgraded; median income is down 10 percent in his presidency.

Obama’s answer?

He wants state and local governments to increase taxes and borrowing so that they can hire more workers.

But while more debt may be a short-term solution in Washington, it doesn’t work at the state and local levels: Those jurisdictions must balance their budgets — and, more and more, they simply can’t.

That’s what Gov. Scott Walker’s stunning win in the Wisconsin recall was all about.

Then again, post-Wisconsin, public-sector employees are pretty much all that’s left in Obama’s political base. So the president’s remarks may be simple political posturing.

But perhaps he actually believes “the private sector is doing fine”— never mind the artless recantation. If so, heaven help us all.

Back in 2008, recalls Jim Geraghty on National Review Online, Team Obama ripped John McCain’s assertion that the US economic foundation was “strong” by asking:“How can he fix our economy if he doesn’t know it’s broken?”

The question still holds."

Obama and his media minions will continue his Wars to win the minds of the naive and idle. Obama's Wars are--His War Against Success (demonizing the wealthy) and fanning the flames of his CLASS WAR. And his make-believe War on Women that he accuses the Republicans of.

First batch of idiots responsible for the pathetic economic woes are each and every dumbbell who voted for the lord marshal b. h. obama.

Second all around idiot and self-serving bozo responsible for a long list of deranged sht and economic woes is the lord marshal b. h. obama. His character flaw begins with an inability to sense wrong and run away from communist lowlifes like bill ayers. Instead b. h. obama launches his political career from the home of bill ayers. Obviously anyone who knows about bill ayers' rap sheet knows you have to be one plucked up cookie to associate with ayers and his ilk. The lord marshal b. h. obama is indeed that kind of cookie thus his content of character is anti-Americanism and America must flush him...November 2012.

You are right, then it will be Romneys confident smile and the determined look of a leader we will be seeing. Obarry's stumbling, unsure of himself mug will be out.

Either the Republicans have sabotaged the economy for political purposes, or they are fools who continue to pursue failed economic policies. There are no other explanations for their behavior:

"Subsequently, the GOP's refusal to countenance legislation that would help states with their own fiscal crises (largely, the result of declining tax revenue) has led to massive public sector layoffs at the state and local level. In fact, since Obama took office, state and local governments have shed 611,000 jobs; and by some measures, if not for these jobs, cuts the unemployment rate today would be closer to 7%, not its current 8.2%. In 2010 and 2011, 457,00 public sector jobs were excised; not coincidentally, at the same time, much of the federal stimulus aid from 2009 ran out. And Republicans took over control of Congress.

These cuts have a larger societal impact. When teachers are laid off, for example (and nearly 200,000 have lost their jobs), it means larger class sizes, other teachers being overworked and after-school classes being cancelled. So, ironically, a policy that is intended to save "our children and grandchildren" from "crushing debt" is leaving them worse-prepared for the actual economic and social challenges they will face in the future. In addition, with states operating under tighter fiscal budgets – and getting no hope relief from Washington – it means less money for essential government services, like help for the elderly, the poor and the disabled.

This is the most obvious example of how austerity policies are not only harming America's present, but also imperilling its future. And these spending cuts on the state and local level are matched by a complete lack of fiscal expansion on the federal level. In fact, fiscal policy is now a drag on the recovery, which is the exact opposite of how it should work, given a sluggish economy.

This collection of more-harm-than-good policies must also include last summer's debt limit debacle, which House speaker John Boehner has threatened to renew this year. This was yet another GOP initiative that undermined the economic recovery."

Some of the most passionate voters from both parties suggest that neither presidential candidate has sufficiently sharpened his economic message or clearly outlined a plan to get the nation back on track. Democrats criticize President Barack Obama's willingness to fight for liberal priorities, while conservatives wonder aloud about presumptive Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney's conviction to act aggressively on their behalf.

so......., what is Romney's plan?
and....., what is Obama's plan?

All in Government are a bunch of crooks. They all are wealthy, especially ones like Romney who don't understand what its like to be a commoner, like you and me. I promise you, if Romney is elected in 2012 things will get much worse. Obama is a decent man,but one problem ,he's a black man in the white house.
Republicans claim they are Christians, not true, for a good Christian does not take from the poor, now mid class, and give to the rich. This is not the teachings of Jesus. Read the Bible and learn something about what Jesus said about the poor and the rich. Ever hear this one, the LOVE of money is the root of all evil. This American society is corrupt, corrupt as the people in power.I only voted for one, the best Pres. ever was Clinton.

Be very careful when handling financial matters today because not everything is as straightforward as it seems. For instance, someone may tell you about a fail-safe way of making money but neglect to mention all the reasons why it's totally illegal. There could also be mistakes if you're spending money, such as being short-changed or overcharged. So watch out!
