"I am deeply disappointed by the size and timing of State Farm's new rate hike request. I believe it is outrageously high," Sen. Jeff Atwater, R- North Palm Beach, said in a statement.

LOL ungodly lifestyle eh? So tell me Mr Republican,in "The Holy Bible" isn't a sin to break the law. And the last time I checked, Price Gouging is against the law in the state of Florida. And believe it or not, that is what State Farm is doing. So it sounds to me that you are just another one of these hypocritical Jesus Freaks who wish eternal damnation all all of us regular human beings, while you are behind closed doors pounding little boys in the butt.

State Farm has contributed heavily to the campaign coffers of many State Legislatures. This is just a game played by these two. Meanwhile, State Farm, when they make massive profits every year we have no storms, now wants to charge more. Legalized extortion and nothing more.

You libnuts have to realize one day that life isnt all about sipping on martinis and having unprotected sex. Develop a work ethic, then you will be able to pay your bills as they come due. the same scenario just occured in California with Allsnake seeking a 24% increase. That states insurance commisioner told allsnake that if they didnt lower their rates by 15% they would no longer be doing business in California. Guess what, they complied.

THIS STATE HAS NO ONE TO ADVOCATE ON BAHALF OF THE CONSUMER.

Why am I envisioning a fire? Why am I envisioning logs being added to that fire? Then why am I imagining someone throwing gasoline upon that fire?

What would my employer tell me if I asked for a 47% pay increase just in case gas prices reach $10 a gallon. Listen up state farm, your in the business of taking a chance that customer's won't need you, and most of the time they don't. If you don't like the odds of that here in Florida then take your business else were. When is enough gonna be enough.

Last year most knowledgeable people predicted that despite all of the great predictions from the governor and the legislature, insurance rates and real estate property taxes would not go down. They never did and now it looks like both will be higher than ever. So much for the consumer, it is all profits and payoffs. Of course, the only thing that went down were property values.

if thats what they want to charge, why should jeff atwater tell them otherwise? Isnt this a free market economy? If a customer doesnt like it, go buy insurance somewhere else. If thats what of costs to insure the home, then so be it. Does anyone tell jeff Atwater what to charge for HIS business? I dont think so.

It's just their way to try and get out of Florida.
They don't want to pay another hurricane claim.
I hope everyone stop all insurance companies from
draining us completely. Shop around and get rid of these
companies that try to skin us alive especially with the current economy.
