News update> 08/26/07 Last night metro police chased down and threatened Actress Britney Spears. The actress said thet she was being chased by the poperrotzy when Metro police decided to chase her. Her car was suround by police when she noticed their hands on their guns and some pulled out. Metro has a bad habit of drawing weapons for simple traffic stops which usually end up killing someone. Naturally Ms Spears was more frightened from the police than the new reporters and felt that there actions were excessive and uncalled for. Police are supposed to protect and serve not threaten those in need. News Update..

Las Vegas Police Officer Accused of Lewdness With Minor Aug 29, 2007 12:43 AM EDT A Las Vegas Metro Police officer is now on paid administrative leave. He is accused of lewdness with a minor under the age of 14. Two different criminal investigations are ongoing into these allegations -- one by Metro Internal Affairs and the other by Metro officers. Metro would only confirm that 32-year-old Damian Amalfitano has been relieved of his post because of the criminal and internal investigations. They said he was put on paid administrative leave on Aug. 11, the same day Metro learned about the allegations. The father of the alleged victim spoke Tuesday only to Channel 8 Eyewitness News. He says he believes the officer and his daughter were more like boyfriend and girlfriend. But he says his daughter was no where nearly old enough to be in that kind of relationship with a 32-year-old man. For this father, the Metro Police shield was a symbol of trust, something he instilled in his teenage daughter. "I told her that if she ever had any troubles, or something ever happened to her to go to a Metro cop," he said. But now that has all changed. This man hides his face to protect his daughter's identity. He says the very person he told her to run to for help took advantage of her trust. "Molested her several times... kept a relationship with her," he continued. Now, 32-year-old Damian Amalfitano, a six-year Metro officer is under investigation and placed on paid administrative leave pending the outcome. Assistant Sheriff Mike McClary said, "The department became aware of the allegations on August the 11th, the same day that he was relieved of duty."McClary wouldn't go into detail about the investigation or the accusations against Amalfitano. "These are allegations and only allegations until such a time that there is sufficient evidence to either confirm or deny them," he stated. But the alleged victim's father says the relationship was well documented in countless e-mails Amalfitano sent his daughter. Police told Eyewitness News they are sure there are no other alleged victims in this case. That is why they say they will not release Amalfitano's picture. Metro is still considering this a personnel matter, but they do plan to release more information if their allegations are proven true. They say Amalfitano has been on the force for six years and has no prior problems. The problem is, if this was anyone other than a cop, the child molester would be sitting in a jail cell and not given a paid vacation as metro has done. This is another police cover up. The police in Clark County Cannot be Trusted and this proves it one more time.

Updated: 10:34 a.m. ET Sept 6, 2007 PHOENIX - A suburban police officer is accused of leaving a police dog in a patrol car for more than 12 hours on a 109-degree day, killing the animal.
Chandler police Sgt. Tom Lovejoy was booked into the Maricopa County jail on a misdemeanor charge of animal cruelty after a two-week investigation into the death of a 5-year-old Belgian Malinois named Bandit. He was released later Wednesday, said Capt. Paul Chagolla, a spokesman for the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office.
The sheriff’s investigation showed Bandit was in Lovejoy’s patrol car from about 9 a.m. to shortly after 10 p.m. Aug. 11. During that time, the investigation found, the officer ran errands, napped and ate out with his wife. Lovejoy later found the dog dead in the car.
Although this occured in Arizona, we have also seen simular police miss treat the animals in Las Vegas as well. In Las Vegas they have beaten the dog with a black metal club, on the dogs face and head, out of the view of the general public. Several face and head hits, enough to kill a human, was administered on the dog outside of the the Airport terminal. Imagine what the cops do to people, visitors as well as residents!!

Two Metro's Officers Accused Of Excessive Force
Sep 12, 2007 10:41 PM EDT
Two of Metro's officers are being accused of using excessive force against a National Guard Sergeant at McCarran Airport.
Major developments today, as the district attorney's office tells KTNV, Metro does not have enough evidence to prosecute Sgt. Mark England.
Their screeners have sent the case back for more investigation.
Meanwhile, attorneys for England have filed suit against the police.
The suit names Metro officer Jennings as the man there: raining blows on Sgt. Mark England in the airport terminal.
It says his back-up, officer Clark, is the man who brings England down with a taser shot.
Attorney Cal Potter is bringing the suit on behalf of Sgt. England and his wife.
There's a lot of money at stake but he says that is not the main motivation.
What is not at stake is the careers of the two officers involved.
Metro's internal affairs has already cleared them and a citizens review board agreed their conclusion: sgt. Mark England balled his fist during the beat-down, so the officers were within policy to meet aggression with aggression.
England has been in combat before and is a decorated soldier but he says the black and blue colors he got at MaCarran have been some of the most impactful of his career.
According to the lawsuit, the injuries he received have kept him from going back to Iraq.
Meanwhile, he still hasn't been charged with doing anything wrong.
Prosecutors say Metro doesn't yet have enough evidence to support the misdemeanor charge of creating a disturbance at the airport.
Hey people, this is one of our US Military troops defending your lazy ass.. Now he can't go back to the front lines because of Metro's SCREW UP!!! This is the way Nevada FAIL to support our Vets! WAKE UP! The cops are OUT OF CONTROL!!!!!!!!!

A local jury has cleared two Metro police officers who shot and killed a burglary suspect. Metro Nichole Splinter and Timothy Nicothodes testified they had no choice but to shoot Joseph Michael Justin in August.
According to witnesses, Justin had just broken into a house near Boulder Highway and Twain and was trying to get away from police when he crashed his van. Metro made up the story that officers say he then grabbed a gun from the front seat and aimed at them.
Justin was shot twice; once by each officer. According to the medical examiner he also had methamphetamine in his system when he died. It took the jury about an hour to decide the shooting was justified.
How sad that a mans life is only worth about 1 hour of time. So once again we see how the cops get away with MURDER, and ignor due process.
This is Nevada cops out of control again. You or one of your family members could be next as police continue to kill without remorse..

Las Vegas is just a gang city, full of thugs. The cops there are thug gangsters also. I got hit by a cop for no reason in Hendersn and a Metro cop took off with my driver's license. I walked right out of work one day and got slammed up against a metro car and was accused of being a fugitive from Texas. I have never lived in Texas. When I almost got shot at work Metro did nothing to help.

Do not blame nearly 2.5 million people for the actions of two police officers and the possibly corrupt organisation defending itself. It isn't even correct to say that generally Nevadans don't support our vets being that our state has lost 30 soldiers in the fight for freedom. Not to mention that the only news agency to give this soldier a voice happens to be a Nevada ABC affiliate. The SGT needs to be defended, but you do him a disservice by accusing 2.5 million people of being treasonous

A Metro police officer has been arrested. He's facing multiple charges of possession of child porngraphy, lewdness with a minor under the age of 14. and coercion of a minor.
Patrol Officer Damian Amalfitano was booked at the Clark County Detention Center on 30 different counts. He now faces 30 counts:
10 counts of Lewdness with a Minor 1 Count of Luring or Attempting to Lure a Child 19 counts of possession of Child Pornagraphy Eyewitness News first reported about allegations in August that officer Damian Amalfitano was having a relationship with a minor.
The officer turned himself in at the Clark County Detention Center Monday afternoon. It's a dramatic turn of events in a case that's been developing for three months.
The 32-year-old Metro patrol officer, a six-year veteran of the police force, finds himself on the other side of the law charged with victimizing a child.
No one answered at Amalfitano's home near US-95 and Durango. But neighbors were stunned to hear this man who's supposed to uphold the law is now accused of breaking it.
Windi Reyes lives a couple of doors down from Amalfitano. "My kids played with his all the time. He was always helpful to me if I needed him," she said.
Reyes couldn't believe how serious these allegations are and thought a man who carries a badge is someone kids could trust.
"Makes me very nervous. I have two little boys. And I try to tell them, if they ever have a problem and their dad and I aren't around, you always go to a police officer. That's who you go to first," Reyes continued.
Metro's two-prong investigation into Amalfitano --both criminal and internal -- centered on allegations of lewdness with a teenage girl.
The girl's father told Eyewitness News she went through a similar incident when she was younger. "The man has his own kids and I don't understand it. I really don't," the alleged victim's father said.
Neither does Amalfitano's neighbor Windi Reyes. She's a concerned mom. She even did an online search for sex offenders before Halloween night. "It makes it very scary to know that someone I taught my children to instill their trust in could use it to a disadvantage or something that could potentially harm them."
Metro is not saying much about the investigation, or how the two knew each other. They do make one point clear. That none of this alleged misconduct took place while Amalfitano was on duty.
In the meantime, Damian Amalfitano is out on bail. The 32-year-old officer was assigned to the Southwest Area Command.
See we told you so, Out of Control, Abusive Cops, and this guy is out on bail!!!!!!

In the news.
CARSON CITY, Nev.-- Metro police must help pay a subsidy for the health insurance of their retirees, according to a new decision by the state Supreme Court.
Justices decided to revise a lower court's proclamation this week. Their 31-page decision overturns a decision by Clark County District Judge Mark Denton, who had sided with Metro in holding that the police department didn't have to pay the subsidy.
Had Denton's decision been upheld, about 150 Las Vegas police retirees could have been forced out of the state's Public Employees Benefit Program.
Leslie Johnstone, head of the state program, has said that without the high court's reversal the total of local government retirees forced to seek more costly alternatives for health care coverage would have exceeded 3,000.
Metro is the largest police force in the state.
Metro MUST PAY. Incase you didn't understand. Metro MUST PAY and its about time. Not only will they have to pay this subsidy but the citizens watch dogs will be monitoring their behavior on the streets, as research is showing that tourism is down, in part due to Metro's abusive treatment of Visitors to the valley. Metro MUST PAY! Good news for the people!

There is no need in Clark County for changes to any legal/criminal justice system. The present legal/criminal justice system is perfectly functional and serves us well. We are indeed lucky to have it in place and operative as a well-oiled machine could be.

LAS VEGAS -- Metro Police Department and other agencies will conduct various enforcement projects focusing on pedestrian violations that fail to yield the right of way.
As of April 11, Metro recorded 15 pedestrian-related fatalities. Of the 15 related fatalities, 13 were due to pedestrian error.
“Pedestrian Enforcement” activities will take place on Friday within the Southeast Area Command and on April 25 within the Northeast Area Command. The enforcement will run from 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in each event.
Officers will aggressively enforce the pedestrian violations by adopting a no-tolerance approach when dealing with violators.
If they didn't get you driving then, now they are going after you when you are walking. There is no rest to the amount of police abuse in the valley. Soon they will cite you for using a public toilet. Heck they are already Forcing jury duty on everyone. Wonder how much more citizens abuse will you all take before you wak up and decide to fight back. This is Your Freedoms being loss and the cops don't care. Welcome to Nevada, the Terrorist police state..
