Are Henderson police or any police allowed to do this?

Ok so my fiancee was picking my kids up from school and picking up dinner. They were right around the corner from home when 3 police officers pulled him over. I guess from some issue we have to fight with a previous ins comp from way back in 2006 we got our plates suspended (we paid our registration in 2007 and have not been lapse in ins). Well while my fiancee and sons showed to be no kind of threat at all the police show what kind of power trip they are on by making everyone including my kids put there hands on the dashboard and back seat with the windows rolled down. Can they get away with this when there is no threat at all. My sons are regular looking kids, not trouble makers and very polite. Just your basic average family that got pulled over by a bunch of cops with a power trip. Sorry to rant but hoping to find out if they can get in trouble for how they treated my kids.

No threat at all? Let me tell you one thing about the modern day police department's way of interacting with the public,,,,,When the police are on scene, a threat is always there,,, it's just not directed at their safety or well being!

So, the question that needs to be answered, is what can't the police do?

I've been looking for quite some time,,, but I so far, haven't found anything they can't do. Heck, just ask one the next time you're stopped or questioned by them.

The typical answer, "I suggest you shut your mouth, or you're going to find out the hard way!" "Have I made myself clear?"

If you still have the same number of family members sitting at your dinner table after being stopped by the police as you had before,,,your family got off easy.

So just chalk it up to experience and move on,,,, Now they know what to expect and how to act when they encounter the police in the future!

No Real Police Officer in their right mind would have treated you or anyone for that matter that way. Anyone that's lived anywhere else and knows how a real police department works knows there is a huge problem with the law enforcement in this valley. I'm sure there are some good cops and I'm sure the good ones are embarrassed of the bunch of cowards they work with on a power trip that have no communication skills or proper tactical skill whatsoever.

Law abiding citizens don't get hassled in Henderson. Posting to an internet site and posting lies is done all the time by hoaxers.

what kind of sheep are you? A criminal sheep? A liberal sheep? A sheep that has nothing better to do than to talk bad about law enforcement officers who would put their lives on the line for even someone like you.. Im sure if somthing went wrong around your house YOU would be the first one to cry that the police wernt there as soon as they should have been. Please take the time to read about yourself, look up sheep, sheepdogs and wolves. You wont have any trouble deciding who you are.....

Why can't the Henderson cop be fired after killing the mother of two children? This is much worst than what the Philly cops did, yet stupid Henderson residents like it when the cops kill a fellow citizen..

It's obvious the Philly city officals are scared of the ethnic population in their city. Based on the story on CNN, the perp was a cop killer. He should have never been allowed to live after being apprehended.

Henderson is a wonderful city (west of US95, south of I-215) and has a great municipal government in place.

I dun bin to Henderson many times in my broken down ole truck, every time I come the police stop me but they aint never given me no trouble. In fact we all have a holler and a hoot when we stand back and look at my truck thats seen better days. The Henderson police do a good job. They are friendly and always have time to chat and help you out. I go all over the southern states sellin my produce and they stand out as bein the most professional. Hell. I even go out for a beer with them when we both have the time. You people just don offer them the respect they deserve.

My brother is a state patrolman, and he has told me many times they have the right to do whatever it takes to make themselves safe. It may have been a little overkill on the henderson policemans part, but They get pretty nervous when they run a plate and it comes back suspended. They are figuring worse case senario. Here is some scumbag who just picked up some kids from a local scool and is kidnapping them or some other thing that might be worse. I admit sometimes they get carried away, but I think they should do what it takes to be safe. I have been pulled over a few times for speed or other things, who knows, I was driving on suspended plates for a month and didn't even know it because my cars vin number was entered wrong at the DMV. I have a concealed carry permit, and I carry my gun all the time. They stop me, and as soon as they run the plate they know I have a CCW Permit. I always roll down all my windows, and put my hands where the police can see them. They come up to my window, and of course the first question is do I have any weapons on my person. I say yes, get out of the car, they secure my gun, do whatever they have to (Ticket/ Warning etc.) Then place my unloaded gun and magazine in my trunk, tell me to have a nice day, and I can recover my weapon when they leave. Is this excessive, some people think so, but It is just how they do things. I am not supporting what they did to you, but you never know the information they were given. Even my girlfriend had the same thing happen to her, and she has a CCW, but never really carries that much, but the police gave her the whole 9 yards also, and she came by my house complaining they treated her like a criminal, etc. I tried to explain to her it is the same thing, they assumed that you had a gun, and they don't know if you had a bad day at work, and this is the last straw before you kill someone. I guess it all depends on the situation.

My father is a Judge in Henderson, NV and EVEN HE KNOWS HENDERSON POLICE SUCK!!!!! They abuse the power granted to them. HENDERSON POLICE: TO SERVE AND PROTECT THE FORCE!!!!
