Well once again we read about Carson in the News! But it seems to me that the old adage is absolutely true “Those who Teach Can’t Do”

And the typical Ignorant Carson Resident being manipulated by Hapless Teachers who fail to obey rules and regulations does not surprise me. Yet we wonder why Carson Kids are Failing and become Gang Members and Drug users!

Teachers are suppose to obey all the rules and set good examples to our children but that ostensibly is not happening in Carson. This Principal is trying to correct those abhorrent breach of rules and regulations BY THESE SO CALLED TEACHERS!

Surely we should demand more from our children and more from our TEACHERS!

Mr/Ms Prophet.... do you have a child that attends this school? if you don't than maybe you should keep your senseless comments to yourself. If you do than you probably would like to go live in Cuba where dictatorship is life.

I support these teachers 100%. The teachers at Dolores are the best, most caring teachers I have ever encountered. I have NEVER had a problem with any of these teachers, and I am proud that my son is a student of these outstanding teachers.

Sounds to me like YOU are from Cuba. Maybe you shuld go back there. And close your ignorant mouth. It is parents like you that is the problem with the kids now days. I went to schools in this district and I graduated, as well as to go on and graduate from a prestigious university.(And while there, I learned not to place more than one question mark after a question)

I have a hard time believing that you had a child who went to this school, and you moved as a result of this. Out of all the Carson schools, Dolores is one of the few that I would send my own child to.

If two other schools have similarly complained about the principal, then why would any one doubt she is continuing her behavior that resulted in her being sent to three schools in three years. I'm sure that three different schools cannot be mistaken in what they have witnessed.

This is the third school in three years for this so-called principal? This is the third school where teachers and parents have protested to get her removed? If that doesn't tell you something is horribly wrong, then we have really giant people roaming around with their heads in the clouds. Once again, LAUSD is choreographing the "Dance of the Lemons" to protect administrators that simply need to retire or find other work. If she is removed from this school, I wouldn't feel too sorry for her. The District will get her a nice, cushy "consulting" job down at LAUSD's Beaudry Building. She'll have a nice office, a large salary, and long lunches. Have you seen the cafeteria there? I have. Our children in our schools should eat so well.

If she's such a wonderful principal, why have two schools lobbied against her already?

I am a parent of a student, and I was a former student at Dolores Street School. All of my siblings were also former students, and WE are all college graduates working in the fields of environment, engineering, and education. DOLORES STREET TEACHERS are wonderful and are qualified teachers. I adore my son's teacher. She has set very high standards for her class, and is a role model to my son. When I saw my son's teacher picketing along with the MAJORITY of teachers and staff at Dolores Street, I was saddened to see how ONE EVIL woman can put the staff in such misery. Yes, Barraza is their principal, but she has no direct contact with the students at DOLORES STREET SCHOOL. The teachers are the ones who spend 7hrs a day with our children. If the teachers want the principal out of their school, I AM IN FULL SUPPORT OF THE TEACHERS. I WILL BE PICKETING ALONG WITH THE TEACHERS, STAFF, AND PARENTS TO GET ANNA BARRAZA OUT OF DOLORES STREET SCHOOL!!!

it is hard to believe you moved to another state because of the teachers at dolores. i think it is because you are avoiding to pay for child support? or you need to escape because there's a warrant out for your arrest?

Being a former student of Dolores St. Elementary school and having threes daughters who attended this school and currently having 3 nephews attending,it sadens me that Dolores St. Elementary School has become a dumping ground for bad incensitive administrators. In my opinion test scores do need to be greatly improved but i think this can only be achieved with open communication of the Principal, Teachers and Parents. But if our Principal has no respect for our Teachers and Parents then our school will be set up for failure. It is one thing to follow district policy and it is another to do it with the full respect of Teachers and Parents. If we can do this, think of the possibilities!

I did and currently do and I can tell you for a fact that I totally support what this Principal is trying to accomplish!

You can be satisfied with UNDISCIPLINED PATHETIC TEACHERS if you so choose to do so but not me!

I wonder where our City Councilmember Union Representative is? I wouldn't be surprised if he isn't behind all this negative publicity, just like the idiot was behind the negative publicity our city received from the Del Amo School lies. He listened to some unstable teacher there, who didn't know what she was talking about, but alarmed a whole school only to find that nothing wrong was really going on.

I certainly agree that we have horrible teachers in Carson and especially at Dolores Elementary.

I also agree with you that it is the Parents fault for being in Denial and going along with the lie that these schools and district do not require a severe shake up!!! Starting from the Teachers whose Union has taken away the ability to properly manage some of these unfit teachers!

If you hate Carson so much...why don't you do us all a favor and move out? Or what, the section 8 housing list is too long for a replacement? Many school districts have problems. Some such as Torrance have child molesters in their schools and schools that are falling apart. Others have that and worse.

It’s quite simple! A strong Teachers Labor Union that places the Teachers above their students and the community at large!

People, are you not Listening! Recently Superintendent David Brewer stated in a press conference about a teacher accused of sexual misconduct with a minor student but that they were unable to terminate him at this time because of the Union!

STOPPED being Pimped and Manipulated by these Undisciplined Teachers who resist change and discipline! Make them earn their Money or Quit!

Some teachers do a great job but most are burnt out useless individuals who need to get off of the public trough!

Prophet puts down Carson, calling it ghetto and saying "parents are in denial", yet proclaims to have a child who attends Dolores. Methinks the principal or a family member is trying to make herself look good. Any one who truly hates Carson or dislikes the teachers so much, would have moved out or at the very least pulled their children out of the school. So please, save your propaganda for meetings and your union representitives.
