The "nanny state" government of socialist liberals killed that idea a long time ago.

There are alot of "fast food" places in the area but, you are not forced to eat the food. Alot of people frequent these restuarants because it is cheap, fast and easy. Everybody has to start making better food choices.

mmmmmm fried chicken riburger with extra mayo, super size fries and a large shake! Thin the herd by fattenning 'em up, I say!

No one puts a gun to your head and forces you to eat a cheeseburger. We all know it isn't good for us. It would be great if the Council would realize that people in South LA are grownups who can make their own choices. See, this is how the free market works: if people want to eat fast food, more places that serve fast food open. If they don't then places that serve fast food close. No government intervention required.

It would be great if the the City Council could get back to, oh, actually running the city. Hey, Jan, how is that balancing the city budget thing going?

I think we have bigger issues in South Central than what those losers are eating. Members of the City Council need to get their heads out of the sand and make some decisions that matter. Actually, it would be nice if we had a few less residents down there. Load 'em up with cholesterol and let 'em croak.

There are way too many fat asses in our city. They should take all the fat kids away from the parents because of child abuse. Then deport all the illegal parents collecting foodstamps and make the kids go on diets and educate them so they can be productive and then send their asses back to Mexico to rejoin with their no habla loser parents and teach them how to eat.

Wow. Are the governing bodies of our country really that stupid? It's the people's choice to eat fast food, not the restaurant's choice. I guess this is just more proof that the government wants to control every aspect from our life.. from personal {saying we can't eat there) to business (saying the business cannot exist there.) This is not a democracy.(Not like it ever really was.)

No you are wrong this is a democracy, problem is it's not supposed to be. we are (were a constitusional republic)if we would have stayeed true to that we would'nt have these problem's beause people would'nt be able to vote in these kind of nanny state laws.the only democracy should be in electing our REPRESENTITIVES( let's quit calling them leaders, they are supposed to represent use NOT LEAD US)

it's too bad that Jan Perry thinks that her constituents are not smart enough to eat healthy food. If people didn't want fast food, they wouldn't buy fast food and fast food restaurants would close down, it's not happening that way though.
