Flatwoods presents 'encore performance' of 'High School Musical'

This story is wrong. Wohar is NOT Lucy in "charlie brown", someone beat her out for the role and she's a sore loser. She was furious when she found out someone beat her out...and now she's lying about it to the newspaper? come on.

So if its not true, why doesnt the newspaper check into things before printing a lie?

Come on "uh huh" are you naive enough to think that media always portrays things 100% correct and double checks reports!!!! If a source is not telling the truth and the reporter has confidence in that source they are going to print what the source said.

I personally know nothing about Wohar/Lucy ect...

I'm addressing media errors. My point is that the news media has the ability and does in many cases put whatever slant they want on reports to sway viewers and readers.

well, I would know that it was a lie...I'm the girl who actually got the role of Lucy in the production. Not everything you read in the media is accurate.

I know that not everything in the media is not accurate.. Thats how the media manipulates us, but I just thought that something as simple as a play would have been authorized by the school or whomever is in charge and be factual.

It can't just be a misprint....it says "Wohar says they will be playing opposite each other in "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown" for Mid-Mon Valley Artists and Actors in Monessen. Winterbottom is cast as Charlie Brown and Wohar will play Lucy in a production that opens June 14. "

It says that Wohas says they will be playing OPPOSITE each other, so that's more than just a simple misprint in a name. WOHAR SAYS. That's almost a quote. Meaning it's HER fault, not the papers'.

Just because it concerns something as simple as a play doesn't mean that it can't be a fabricated story. Ever been to high school? How about starred in a high school's play? Girls get vicious and mean just out of jealousy. This poor, pathetic girl obviously wants to justify her supporting role of Sally (and really, is it all that bad!?). This article is a small one, so perhaps the people managing it thought that she would not lie. Unfortunately, that's not the case.

First of all, as someone who has had personal experience with a newspaper, pretty much everything i said was misquoted in the article written about me. So if you think you can trust or make ANY assumptions from a newspaper article like "someone beat her out for the role and she's a sore loser" or "girls get vicious and mean just out of jealousy" then you've got something coming your way. look in the mirror hunnies. I know the girl who got the role of Sally and i talked to her the same day before she went for the audition. She was so excited about trying out for Sally and no other part was on her mind. Its pretty sad actually that someone who doesn't even know "Sally" and how truly uncady she is can see right off that the newspaper made a mistake..

There was no lie involved here, simply a misprint that is now being made into a story. Girls, your mothers would be ashamed of this bashing. Your characterization of this girl is wrong, and sadly, you have known her long enough to know this.I would think truth in reporting would be important to a future journalist. Now, come on. Stop this.

Okay....I don't think anything I said was considered "bashing". Everything I said was true, I've seen it happen. If the media was SO wrong, why didn't they change it? I'm obviously not the only one that noticed it. For Christ's sake, it was in the newspaper. By the way, my mother has read everything on here, and although she was a little disappointed that I brought it up...she can't say i'm wrong in anything I'm saying. I've seen this stuff happen a million times. "Stop this now" I don't know how you can say my characterization of her is wrong if I've known her for such a long time. You don't know I'm wrong. Truth in reporting IS important to me...but so is truth in the people interviewed.

YOU are ridiculous. Who cares if she lied or not - the paper should fix this. Maybe theres a reason these girls think wohar lied. Maybe shes done it in the past. And the rest of you cant attack them for having there opinion. There was a misprint in the paper and these girls called it out. This girl apparently has a bad rep - why arent these girls allowed to say it? All of you need to relax. Sheez.

They should never have started saying that she was lying, they should have talked to her, and then called or e-mailed the newspaper
but their maturity level is a bit too low for their age so they were incapable of doing this

Alright. This is ridiculous. How are we bashing reputations??? I want to know EXACTLY what I said that was untrue or "bashing a reputation". s getting catty? That's was about BASIC HIGH SCHOOL S. Sore loser? Yeah. I've seen it happen a thousand times. There's NOTHING wrong with saying that. Expecially since I SAW what happened the day after everyone recieved their roles. Tell me in EXACT WORDS what I said that was "bashing her reputation". Because as I see it, the paper is making her look like a liar...and has done more bashing than I could ever do.

If she hadn't already given me a tarnished impression of her, I wouldn't have even thought for a SECOND that she lied to the paper.
I'm pretty sure that if this story were about someone all of YOU knew, you would have NO PROBLEM pointing out that there was a "misprint" in the paper. Don't act like high school s are the only ones who are capable of doing this.
Let alone the fact that the leader of the Charlie Brown show was pretty aggravated when she read this in the paper....we pointed it out.

but where do you come in at all in this? you aren't even in the cast of Charlie Brown. Calling someone a sore loser is bashing their reputation, but guess what...Wohar isn't a sore loser because she didn't lose, she won, she wanted the part of Sally and not the part of Lucy. It seems to me that you are just trying to find ways to attack Wohar in any way possible. Why? Maybe you're jealous, I don't know. Yes you are allowed to have your own oppinion but when you lie like this I think that your oppinion means nothing. And again I'll say that there is no reason for you to be part of this conversation because you aren't part of the cast.

Well, first of all, I'm pretty sure you shouldn't be making accusations about who people are. You don't know if I'm part of the cast or not. This is an ANONYMOUS website. There's no way you could know who I am, and if you've made a guess...I'm pretty sure you're wrong. However, I can't be sure that YOU aren't part of the cast either. And if you're not, you shouldn't have participated either. This is a forum on the NEWS, which is what we are talking about. There was an error in the NEWS, which several other people (who also ARE NOT in the cast) are speaking about. What would I be jealous of? I have nothing to be jealous of. What was I lying about? I lied about nothing. When I said "sore loser" I was referring to a specific instance where I saw her react to the person who actually got the lead part of Lucy, the day after the cast recieved their roles. THAT is what triggered "sore loser". And from MY impression of that instance, she IS a sore loser. This is from an outsider's point of view....I'm not the only one that sees all of this...I'm just one of about a dozen who witnessed this.
This is a news forum, where anyone can talk about anything....and there happened to be a news segment I ran across with an error in it. Once again I say, that if I had no tarnished impression of her, I wouldn't have thougut for a SEOCND that she lied to the newspaper.
I don't "come in at all in this" because there's no "coming in" to be done. It's not like I'm talking about the actual show, I couldn't care less about charlie brown. I'm talking about a lie that was printed in the newspaper. And I don't have to be apart of any group to talk about that.

P.S. I've been a part of this site for a long, long time...and this isn't a place where we try to "guess who people are". It's pretty much an understood rule. This is an anonymous site for a reason. Guessing is useless. If I really wanted you to know who I was, I'd tell you. But I don't.

As someone who has known Wohar her entire life, and can more than vouch for her character. And unquestioningly disagree with your ridiculous opinion of her. She has a passion for something, and gladly excepts every opportunity God gives her to use them. NEVER ever has she been deceitful or hostile to those around her who simply enjoy the same love she does. She did win, she got exactly what she hoped for. It's unfortunate that we much put out someone's light who is brave enough to shine. "..Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightening about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine as children do. It's not just in some of us; it is in everyone. And as we let our own lights shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same." This is all, ultimately, Wohar has ever done.

No single action or "facial expression" should be enough to secure a person's reputation. As you are not Wohar's brain or heart, you have no idea what was running through her head. For all you know, she could have wanted someone else to have gotten Lucy than the person that did. Or maybe she was even thinking of something else. A person's character takes much longer than an instant to judge..more like years. And honestly..how stupid would that have been to lie to a newspaper. Even a sore loser wouldn't have done that. I guess that goes to show...what you want to see, you see

I am not going to comment on this article, but I am just going to say that this whole discussion only proves to me that America has absolutely no time on it's hands. People are dieing in Sudan, Appartide in South Africa, War in The Middle East, Unrest and Gang Violence in American Cities, and all you people seem to want to talk about it about whether some chick gets a part in some musical ... Hello, welcome to showbiz. If you all know apparently so much about this country then you should know it's full of lying and backstabbing. WELCOME TO AMERICA!
