The conductor said is was a suicide.

My family and I were on board a Northeast Corridor train coming from NYC back to New Brunswick. It took us 2 hours to finally get back to New Brunswick. We had to stop and wait, all the conductor told us was there was police activity and we may not even stop at Edison or New Brunswick. Once we got to New Brunswick and we got off the train, the roads were taped off, their were police and firemen with hoses cleaning the platform. There was also blood on the tracks and down the stairs we had to walk down to get off the platform. Very sad.

If you're on the tracks, you're trespassing. Pretty simple. So, Bobby, if someone walks into your house without your permission, are you going to wait for the court decision before deciding what to do?

Although I was not there, I do know the man who passed. He was a Rutgers student from California. He was a religious Jew and an active member of our community. The news of this tragic death affected me really deeply. I wish that I could say that I knew him well, but I had only met him a few times.
At an open mike night, he had a really hilarious act. He kept on saying this one line over and over in different voices. Everybody was cracking up, and at the end, a few students even gave him a standing ovation. He had a great spirit, zechrono lebracha.
Please don't make disgusting jokes, like the one above. He was a real person, and this is a true loss and tragedy.

I remember you in my hebrew classes, and I remember your smile, and I remember giving you a hug in our high school parking lot. These are the things I will never forget. Your eyes were always filled with joy and made sure everyone around you was having a good time. Arieh, I as well as everyone else I know will truly miss you!
**if you don't have something tastefull to say, please just take your sh*t somewhere else. you're not welcomed here. Arieh was truly a gem, DON'T put him down...**

Could there have been foul play involved? He was bearded and wearing a yalmuke. Could someone have pushed him for being Jewish? Did anyone witness the event?

Stupid move

This jerk was trespassing on the tracks. Sounds like a suicide to me. Oh well, time to move on and get the trains back on schedule.

this brillant young man was just beginning his life. This is an inexplicable tragedy. May he rest in peace and may his family not know a sadness like this ever again.

What a tragedy for his family and for all who knew and loved him. Parents should not have to grieve over their own child. Rest in peace Arieh. A community here in Los Angeles is grieving along with all who knew him in school.

I can only hope that those who choose to cast stones on this blog and mock this senseless act never feel the pain Arieh felt nor the pain that his family and friends feel now.

I wish for everyone that they amount to half of the person that Arieh was. He didn't judge, and loved life. I am so confused and bewildered- I never expected this to happen. I still keep on hoping that it's all some kind of joke, some kind of weird coincidence. Last night there was a memorial ceremony in his honor at Rutgers, with over 300 people in attendance. A full house-- everybody remembering the wonderful spirit that Arieh had and singing, just like he loved to do. I wish he could have known about what a meaningful impact he had on so many people.

Why do you have to be a jerk? Obviously he was mentally unstable and this need not to have happenned. A death has occurred. RIP Arieh.
