Yes, how strange - I never hear of people talking about these Ankerslot cylinders and I have used them many times - and now they are on a forum! The last lot I got from www.directlocks.co.uk as well, cheaper than the first ones I bought elsewhere.

Direct Locks is absolutely the worst company I have ever dealt with. Placed an order with them over 2 months ago. They took 1.5 months to delivery only half of it and that was only after about 100 phone calls to them (most of the time they put you on hold or stall saying they have to speak to another manager and will call you back)- the people that work there don't have a clue what's going on. Their standard line is "there no notes on th system", and they always say "we will call you back" but they never do; every body who answers the phone is a manager but nobody can sort anything out or tell me what is going on! I am still awaiting a refund for the rest of the stuff which they promised but are trying to avoid. I will never deal with this company again. It is run by a bunch of crooks, you can't trust them at all.
Buyer be aware! Do not tell them in advance when you are going to call or they will purposefully not answer their phone.

I agree, terrible company. I ordered a lock last week and paid for next day delivery. No sign of the lock. More worryingly, they have never answered their phone, not once, not even the sales department. after countless calls. They haven't replied to any emails either. In fact I cancelled the card I paid with, just in case. Am not holding my breath about ever receiving the lock either. Don't go near them.

WARNING!

Just like every one is saying, do not shop with these guys!

Will take your money over the internet and never answer a call or supply the goods.

www.directlocks.co.uk was based in Shoeburyness and owned by Direct Locks Ltd who went into Administration. The website has been bought out by Dilock ltd who also own a shop called Cally locksmiths in Islington, London which has been trading for 15 years. Dilock ltd provide a superb service to commrcial and domestic customers and will price match all other web companys.

I ordered a lock on 9th May from Dilocks. Still waiting 6 weeks on! No reply to email chasers, no answer to telephone, to call-back to telephone messages left. Agree with others that this is a terrible company to do business with. I have spoken to Cally Locksmiths who apparently own Direct Locks to see if I can get any other contact details. They say they don't have any. Have left a message for the owner of Cally Locksmiths to call me back - watch this space.

Yes, i too have been screwed by these tossers. Ordered a lock 3 months ago, they sent the wrong one so told me me to return it and they would then send the right one. I was dealing with one person by email but she hasn't responded for over a month. No one mans the phones and they don't ever call back so absolutely no hope of speaking to someone.
I live in London so think i'm going to have to actually go round there to try and get my money back.

Wish I had seen this chain before ordering... They put my card payment through quickly enough but the goods haven't turned up 4 weeks later - still - I will get the money back from the credit card company. Eventually no card company will touch them.

How very odd you are the only person on this forum who has anything good to say about this company. No it's not odd in the slightest really when we see later on in the forum that you're the company director. See post "mbassoc2003 Thu 23/07/09. I've heard of having a brass neck, but you set the benchmark with yours.

You should always use reputable locksmiths for buying locks and keys , in London , Barrs Security fulham palace road , Lock around the clock in Twickenham , Young and Young in Hammersmith , Barry Brothers Security Devices in Paddington , but to name a few.

Daily Horoscope for December 26

Scorpio

Something that you've always taken for granted or believed implicitly could have a big question mark hanging over it during the next few weeks. The more entrenched your views are about this, the more difficult it will be to accept that perhaps it's time for a change of opinion or, at the very least, a revaluation of what you think. Mercury turns retro in your house of communications, so do your best to be open-minded now.
