St. Francis building

Not being active , is that building still important to North Adams? Or should we just take some pictures and let progress have that corner? It might be the most valuable commercial spot in the city!

i asked about that a while back for shelter since the closes shelter for single people is in pittsfield but this city is keep things as is..new mayor with same ideas just different face they play a good rivil game when it comes to socail justice no change...if they are different please give exaple of proof of change for the better or worst

What have old churches been converted to? Seriously. I have no idea, just trying to see what everyone else thinks. Plus this church as the rectory and that overhead walkway to it. Would MoCA be interestd in it?

We do not need another small park.

Last thing we need is for CVS to locate at that location. Would this be considerd progress and beneficial to North adams or is representative of the decline of the City as we know it?

monday the first thing i am gng to do is have someone read these threads i dare anyone to call ARISE in spfld tell them i am crazy go for it i will not go away there is no socail justice in your city right is right wrong is wrong..cause the last thing you need is some leader who thinks the city isc great with no socail justice where most people are poor..BCAC needs to go there time is up NBCC time to go...you will learn the hard way these will be replaced with the voluntiers who collect SSI no more calling some people BUMS...then WHAT?

there have been other church/rectory buildings converted to housing. look at the one on cole ave in wmst. saved that church building and rectory, turned them into nice housing and didn't change the neighborhood.
and as for the city doing anything with st. francis...they don't own it so it's not up to them. but I wonder...what is going to happen at notre dame?

Did you notice that the Mayor announced a historic preservation ordinance? Word is CVS put in an offer on the church.
