WOW go lori,but you no what this mayor could careless about wrecking someones life people like him because they are scared of him his best friend is AG think I told you that so he has the legal system all wrapped up..Barrett sure he is corrupt every politician is nothing like those from the BERKSHIRES problem is the rest of the state does not get the news from around here as a result corruption is spinning out of control with the guy running for congress hopefully everyone gets caught..new leadership of young adults comes in

I am pretty sure Barrett is an elected councilor to the City - that is what gives him the right to be at City Hall. Hopefully he will be back there permanantly some day and clean up this mega mess. |

1 The only mega messes are the ones created by Barrett himself. His inflated ego and his believe that North Adams is HIS city ( not in a loving way, but in a proprietary way) is why he won't go away. He has a sense of entitlement that he should have lost along with the loss of the mayoral election. Getting over life's disappointments isn't easy for anyone. But it's even harder for someone with Barrett's ego and personality. |

dick wants to control the way everyone thinks both guys are bad..give it up its a great city it needs change most are poor set in there ways time to change before the state takes the city over the mayor great at causing disappointments to people its called abusing power like the guy he had banned from city hall cause he towed all his cars condemned his house had his kids taken this mayor doesnt own up one day he will get his day

1 i could only hope for him to come back. Arrogant or not he did a fine job. Didnt take any bull from unions. Dick and Gail caved and gave raises and retro checks, nice time for that.. 25.8% in property tax increases in the last few years... nice job. |

If you have ever worked you must have got a raise. Sad to say the cost of living does not go down. |

1 Thank you sher for your input. Not only do city workers deserve raises like anyone else that works, but they certainly didn't deserve to be screwed over by the FORMER mayor with their health insurance trust fund. There are so many people in this city that still dont understand what happened, but yet they still blame the workers. I don't believe ANY working person deserves to have their insurance funds screwed around with. Sorry this is so long winded tonight, but is a very sore spot with me!!!! BUT thank you for letting me voice this once again.:) |

lol..Proof you want Proof ask any unemployed teacher..Alcomebright will say "Oh golly gee" We had to stick by the book,even when it meant people losing jobs, Overcrowded classrooms because shortage of teachers exists. What a scheme, He goes by the book, When its in the best interest for him and his followers...not "WE THE PEOPLE"

When teachers are cut, it is done according to seniority. That's how it's done ... By the book. You say classrooms are overcrowded and teachers are unemployed, but if a whole bunch of teachers were hired, you'd be the first one to raise hell about it! You have no idea where you stand on anything!, |
