Are lawyer"s helping people abuse public assitance?

I recently was thinking about applying for disability because I am unemployed.I have a mild disability.Someone told me about a lawyer they use to get on when they were denied.This person is not disabled.He can see,hear,walk,talk,smell,eat, drive,and have sex..lol..Disability is for when we can no longer do a major life activity.This person pushed the lawyer thing hard.After talking with others with disability's who do work.We all came to the same conclusion.The system for disability needs to change.If a person needs a lawyer chances are they are not disabled.Public Assistance is or should be for people who cannot learn any skill.For example if you drive a car or sit on a computer all day playing games. you can drive a cab or work in an office.If you live in a city like northadams where jobs and transportation is limited.Move to a bigger city and get a JOB.

I Think I might go back to school for communication.Look out WAMC...To those BUMS who sit around on the computer playing games.Due to ANXIETY get over it. I have owned a home in my lifetime its not its all cracked up to be. Maintenance Taxes ect. I prefer to rent.Thank you...Rumor is there's a big sign at the SSI office somewhere in the state. Saying if you want Disability go to NORTHADAMS and find a LAWYER...lol..BUMS...I know your secrets you know whats great? You have no clue where i am...lol..Look out change is on the way...This guy don't like the people who run the city...I was told if its fact use it as an EXAMPLE...FACT is NORTHADAMS abusing people with disabilities...Started 28 yrs. ago..cil

A more simple soulution would be for people to stop electing democRATs. After all it is they who invented welfare.

I do agree it was Ford who began rights for people with disability's.By Abolishing the UGLY LAW in 1974. It was Bush Sr. who signed ADA into law... DEMOCRATS are BS...ROOSEVELT was disabled with POLIO he played the game and hid it now that's BULLCHIT!!!...cil

In my opinion sometimes a lawyer is needed to cut through the red tape when you are denied SSDI benefits.

its not up to lawyer if you will get disability the lawyer will only help you apply for it and state your case but thats all. if you have a mild case of disability like you say then you can drive a cab or work. so whats your problem and you do use the computer all day so become a secretary that works from home and make better money then disability gives out because if you made jack shit all your life that is what your monthly check will be nothing.

Of course its not up to the LAWYERS.Just like in a trial. Its not up to them if your found GUILTY. They present your case. The better the LAWYER the greater chance you get off when you break the law.Stop sticking up for people who see the DISABLED as $$$ signs...The SSI payment in Mass is aprox. 800 bucks with a with SEC 8 and Food stamps.Is this encouraging people to be LAZY BUMS!...cil

I just wondering since when is anxiety is disablty ? You are right they can get off their butts and get a job..they is plenty of meds for it..Just being around other a people helps out... I ;like the ones who gets ssi for their anxiety had a handicap sign for their car..this whole country is so screw up for this kind of crap.The people who needs it can't get it but the most lazy ones gets everything...

We agree on this one!...Yep its true there are people siting on SSI playing games on there computers.Most important bill internet There disability..ANXIETY...and people wonder why our country is in debt...cil

Anxiety can be very disabling. Some are afraid to leave their houses while some can leave their houses but cannot go into a big store or restaurant or they will have an anxiety attack. It is a real disability. I know. I have it.

Lets not forget all the fireman in North Adams who "retired" early thanks to the scam known as the heart and lung law. This law was repealed in Connecticut because of the countless questionable "heros" with high blood pressure who retired and went to work elsewhere.High blood pressure is easy to keep in line with medications and should not be used as grounds for a drunk or a life long smoker to retire early and go hunting and fishing all day long or open a business.

Yes,these LAWS are intended to help people in need.We must remember its not the law abusing the system, people are!What can be done?The current way of leaving it to "WE THE PEOPLE"to report people abusing the system just is not working.Weather it be the community letting people slide or our SSA office is to busy to investigate.Here is a plan that will be brought forth to congress.Keep this plan in place with a few changes.The complaints would be filed with the local court PROOF would be needed more then one complaint, some pictures, as with any legal case you have the right to a trail.If found guilty its called FRAUD...Sher Can you explain ANXIETY further because..I don't think we are on the same page.I am talking about people who claim ANXIETY as a disability,Then do drugs like crack, drink take care of kids/gran kids and play games on the computer and go shopping,creating their own ANXIETY... Ok, cil. Fess up. How come your writing has dramatically improved recently? If someone else is typing your thoughts, that's a great way to adapt. If you're typing yourself, it's a miracle. The "handy cap" story is interesting! Never heard that before.(PS. Put two spaces between sentences to further improve your writing.)

"UNBELIEVABLE"..I think my English teacher was right, I am LAZY.I used the hospital as an excuse.If I know how to speak intelligent, I can write intelligent, I do admit I am using spell check. spelling is hard.My teacher told me I use what is called street spell.Again because I am LAZY to use my brain...I am changing that.I have never used my brain except for music.I have a headache,is this better?
