Why are people so rude in your city?

We recently visited the city MASS MOCCA was nice. Went walking around trash everywhere! We needed a soda pop so made a stop at the big Y.Thugs and drunks sitting around outside one guy tried to sell us a watch. The art galleries where great.The artist were rude when we said it would be better if you artist sold your work.We found only one gift shop bought some homemade jam. Had a bite to eat at a Mexican dinner 2 tacos 20 bucks expensive and the service poor. Visited a toy store expensive and rude again!As we walked back to the bus We stopped in family dollar.The cashier was a young girl We took a picture...because she was the only person that was nice on our trip to your city.

Rudeness begets rudeness. Did you have an "attitude" while you were encountering people who live and work here?

Dear Tourist, you mistook your tour of North Adams as rudeness, it was in fact a part of the museum and was their performance arts exhibit.Even the Topic comments are a part of the performance arts.But if it's not to your liking, come to Brattleboro...lots of arts there without the performance artists.

North Adams is full of a**holes, but I do not believe the original post for a minute. Monique at Persniketty could win an award for her professional customer service and quip about Desperado's doesn't ring true either. The place is always busy and it sure ain't the food.

I agree that Monique is a sweetheart- always took great attention to helping Janice and I pick something for the grandkids when they were litrle--as for Desperados-- I have no clue---but I did resent someone judging NA on the basis of the "thugs" outside Big Y--Oh and I am so glad that I finally made Webster's--yes I am rude lewd and sometimes unglued--so what--sure North Adams has its flaws--but I am proud of my time there--it was home for 42 years--and I know that the "thugs" at Big Y are not the real kind and giving people of North Adams--and anyone who insinuates to the contrary will br RUDED by me

I agree that I have never been treated rudely at persnickety and I've been there several times. I've not been to Desperados so I can't judge that comment. and it does get my goat to hear comments like that about NA but some of the responses on here are just nasty. but then, I have come to expect that.
as for the bus, I suspect they came as part of a "tour" group. wonder what the others thought....

Desperados pours a mean Margarita, especially if you tip well.
