Cannot comment on NA.com re council agenda

In the latest act of censorship by the city and its controlled media, northadams.com has posted the agenda for the next council meeting, and citizens are not allowed to comment on this.

Now look at the agenda. There is no supporting documentation. How can a citizen comment on what will be discussed by looking at this.

If you voted for Alcombright then it serves you right. If you didn't then call the American Civil Liberties Union and see if they can help.

No. iBerkshires is private property and you have no inherent right to comment there at all. The ACLU would laugh and then explain this to you very slowly so you might understand.

I suspect that Tammy has closed the comments because people like you went over there and pissed all over the place. She couldn't even post an article about Wilco without you going off on Alcombright.

What I find extremely funny about commentors like irate taxpayer and censorship they spout lies and mistruths that Saddam Insane aka John Barrett was the most approachable Mayor in the history of the world. That idea couldn't be further from the truth. Saddam Insane controlled everyone through fear of his retatliation. No one ever spoke up because it was widely known if you did then you would pay a price for speaking out. I love how Councilor Barrett says he encouraged free speach t council meetings...well if free speach is reading a JB3 prepared statement, then yes he did because then your city taxes were free, right Tommy. These minions who blindly follow Saddam Insane need the remember he cooked the books with the insurance trust fund and lied about it. This city is better off without him as mayor, and you are only hurting a city by backing him.

The corresponding documentation- e/g/ a communication from the Mayor etc. is attached to the bottom of the agenda that appears on iberkshires-- that was not posted as a news article but as a public service---it's hardly censorship

On the City website under meetings and notices--- for January 24 council meeting you will find the AGENDA-- posted by the City Clerk---on iberkshires you get both the agenda AND the documentation posted by the editor--she gets the Council packet on Fridays as do the Councilors and SHE chooses to post it---that's her call--she is not posting it as a news article to solicitcomments but as a heads up for interested folks who just might like to know what's up for the meeting in advance---so lay off this censorship and conspiracy stuff

As Clark pointed out, all one needs to do is scroll down and all the supporting documentation is there. iBerkshires is under no obligation to open up comments, which would quickly degenerate into conspiratorial nonsense. Why don't you go to the meeting and ask to be heard if getting your opinion out there is so important to you?

But, given that you post under numerous names (Censorship, Nope, Barry, Question, Paper, Fair and Balanced, Lower Taxes, etc.), and you hunt down people that disagree with you, you'll never show up. if you want to talk about censorship, remember who cut off the debate on the new council rules.....councilor barrett...he moved the question, which cut off cardimino, who was talking at the time, and brought the issue to a vote.
