Atten: Topix Moderators, are you there?

I have noticed MANY nasty posts (using multiple unregistered names). I'm sure that complaints must have been made. I made one complaint.

Trolls and jerks are just a part of life on a public forum. We all have the right to free speech.

But if I wanted to see posts from some nutty stalker about his sex fantasies, I would have chosen a different type of forum!

You are not the only one Voix........I have reported many comments myself.....I certainly dont have a problem with people razzing each other in fun, but the degree of what has been happening to just about ALL the post disgust me! It is hard to try to have a "serious" discussion on any matter without it being taken over with the smut. Good Luck thats what I have to say!

It is all the fault of solons and the people that are after him. He has a trench mouth and the others are no better.

They are right. Solons aka Praxis33 is the culprit. Started in December. Ban him and all would be fine

I was thinking that it's not right for someone to continuously stalk and post disgusting things. I really thought that this is something that the moderators will take seriously. Wrong!

Topix has their butts covered all over the globe. They do not have to do a thing! As a matter of fact this is an in-part quote from the Topix "Fine Print":

"You agree that we are not liable for any content that is provided or posted by you or others. We have no duty to pre-screen your content or the content of others, but we have the right to refuse to post or to edit submitted content. You understand and acknowledge that by using Topix, you may be exposed to content that may be offensive, indecent or objectionable."

Basically, if we don't like it we can leave. "Toxic" is allowing this. Nice.

I post on other topix in bigger city's The ip address is not the location under the name, The location is Internet provider The IP address is in your computer that is the signal that can be traced..in other words this sick could be anywhere in the country also, if you use a WIRELESS the address will change everyday, because there is no provider. but the IP can be traced to a wireless also...Thank a family member who works at INTERNET connect for that info...Hope I wrote it so everyone understands...cil

It isn't too hard to check and see that the addresses are the same you a complete moron. Nobody believes you and you have no credibility. Post your name and that will be the end of you - then they will really rejoice around here. Hi there CHBPOD here---I still post as does BB and Sher--both of whom I know---even Gilligan---and I am the only one "connected" to the City of North Adams- unless you include residents as being connected-- I served for 24 years on the City Council so I have some modicum of knowledge about the way some things work---and if you didn't know that I was connected you are dumber that a box of rocks--we do not choose to play the disgusting games that some of you do----have a topic of relevance??? we may comment--other than smut
