So what that he's gay. Most of us suspected it long ago. What does his sexuality have to do with his occupation or the political arena? Better watch out Gail-Ann Cariddi and her supporters if you jump on this bandwagon.

So what there was a "confidentiality agreement"; that happens a lot with prominent heterosexual couples as well. The offense is that Jose Bordero-Jumpero broke the ethical clause (in effort to maliciously derail or destroy Paul's political ambitions) and he hijacked Paul's internet media.

So what that Paul had a relationship with a foreigner. How many American G.I.'s, business persons and vacationers have had relations with persons of another country. Jose wasn't illegal when the relationship began; I suspect Paul reminded him that his visa was about to expire and he merely reminded Jose get it renewed.

That's remarkably similar to someone telling their estranged spouse that their driving license was about to expire and the boy/girl crying foul when she gets arrested for driving without a license and claims the other spouse sent the cops after her. The offense is on the person who didn't heed the prudent warning, and who then twisted facts and called it a threat.

Doesn't it seem strange that Jose Bordero-Jumpero now remains here voluntarily with an expired visa -- claiming to be a victim of the Amercian politcal system. If that's all the dirt they have on Paul Babeu, then his sister should be ashamed for breaching internal family communication and confidence.

you were right about one thing, that it shouldnt matter if he is gay or not. it could have very well had been an illegal alien female and likely not to affect his job performance one way or the other. now come on, you cant have overlooked the illegal aspect of it.

paul had done something like this before, in fact, right here in north adams. as soon as he found he was losing the local race, he cried "the priest touched me" or something along them lines. as soon as he knew he was done, he reverted to something that had no bearing on his ability to run the office. i dont see this anything short of being spot on. his track record for this kind of behavior is building and becoming more apparent and pretty much speaking for itself. that can only arise more questions such as did the priest really "touch" him.

how can you trust someone that says one thing and does another, especially in the government and law enforcement? he is supposed to be keeping the illegals out and then romances one. he romances then only to later on hold it against them in a weak attempt to blackmail. i am actually quite satisfied his plan only back-fired on him, yet once again.

You apparently missed quite a lot in the various articles pertaining to this story, or your I.Q. amounts to Paul's waist size. Most relevant is that Jose was here LEGALLY and not "undocumented", so the claim of Paul being a hypocrite regarding illegal immigration is baseless.

Jose's visa was expiring and she "used" Paul as a pawn to usurp the legal immigration process – now, the proper use and application of blackmail and extortion. Paul booted her out of his life, she hacks into his internet media and she flamboyantly cries being the victim.

Informed of the situation, Nancy-Jo Merritt, a longtime Phoenix immigration attorney, says...that federal immigration-enforcement agents have better things to do than "take care of Babeu's boyfriends."

Rather than casting aspersions and reckless insinuations, wouldn't it be more prudent to disclose Jose's name, verify her visa and its expiration date and validate that Paul broke off the relationship when Jose refused to follow the immigration laws when her visa approached its expiration.

Paul didn't romance an Illegal, and your rationale suggests that no person should date or establish a relationship with foreigners. That perspective brings your liberal dementia to a whole new level and your dating profile suggests that everyone who dates a Latino should immediately suspect they are Illegal?

Does it even make any sense that an Illegal Immigrant would want to share a bed with a sheriff fighting the war on illegal immigration... Umm... Get that our of your mouth and go wash your face!

As for Paul's disclosure of being a teenage victim of a crime by a priest, I believe that revelation came AFTER his last run for mayor and AFTER establishing residence in Arizona -- having nothing whatsoever to do with the elections here.

That is simply untrue. I come up third on the list. But, as I said, I have a small business in Albany. I live in Williamstown. My business is doing just fine, and I don't need a website.

i wish i could say more without attacking the character of mr babeu and that of his family. i will leave it at that as it would be very difficult to explain personal experience with many of the family members. i think that should suffice.

as for the media coverage on this very subject, i think we all know the media loves dirty laundry. how much of the truth is there going to be? only that of what the supporters of such contradictory people such as my babeu will put out. if he had nothing to hide, then why did he attempt a "hush" order on his dear mate? not to mention how insane his father had been in the past. how much of that childhood experience lies behind those eyes? if you knew them on a personal basis, you may not be saying such things. then again... some choose to blindly follow such.

the idea of him trying to hide the fact he was gay, when it is well known and accepted its ok to be in the current days. now top that sundae with a nice cherry and plenty of sprinkles. now he is lying about being gay with a "questionable" immigrant. in his field of immigrant control, that would only open a bias situation. he is romancing the very people he is monitoring or otherwise deporting them. now here comes the piles of hot fudge: the gay lover is not only Mexican... he is the very same people mr babeu is responsible for policing.

this whole situation just doesn't sit right. mr babeu has been the center of many o controversy, not just this one(that of which you may wish to read up). he is hiding something that none of us know, as many people put in the same seats do all the time. the world wont stop because you want it to. people put in these positions shouldn't be mingling with the ones in which they were hired to patrol. bottom line here is mr babeu has problems, whether you wish to admit it or not.

keep the controversy in Hollywood where it belongs. we still want people in these seats to do their job and do it right.

Babeu is in the national news on this issue- he has resigned as Romney's Arizona campaign chair- and has publically acknowledged that he is gay--but denies any threat to Jose of deportation--
