three months to a year? this woman should be locked up for 10-20 and the kid ought to be a permanent resident of a mental hospital.

Hey "Kent"..I couldn't agree more...this 'plea bargaining' crap has got to stop.
There is NO deterrant to commiting a crime; no fear; AND no repercussion.
NO taking responsibility for one's actions.
PLEA and you get off easy.
This jacka$$ and his jacka$$ mother both needed to be sent away FOR A LONG TIME.
BUT Folks, this is our fine judicial system at work.
AND 'it ain't gonna get better'.
