Choose This Day

I am writing this letter on behalf of all people that believe on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. I have heard it said on numerous occasions that you are a “Christian,” you go to church and worship the Lord. Where is the fruit? I understand that there is supposedly a separation of Church and State. I ask you, how Church and State can be separated from a country that says,“IN GOD WE TRUST”. We have gotten away from the principles that formed this great country. Amid taxation without representation, America was born. Amid religious persecution, America was born. However, after the birth, the fledgling country called America entered into its fullness and thereafter turned its back on those that formulated a concept of democracy called, Of the People, By the People, and For the People. The People have lost their voice to speak. The Voice of America has effectively been stifled and silenced by liberality, conservativism, immorality and the misguided belief that God does not exist. The greatest trick ever performed was when Satan convinced the world that he is a myth, folklore, an ancient tale to keep wayward children in line. We profess with our mouths, but our actions exemplify that we don’t. Mr. In Charge For Now, how can you justify sending billions of dollars elsewhere in the world and we can’t even take care of home. Weren’t you taught to take care of your own house before going to help the neighbors? This is about the disenfranchisement of America. I believe that nothing can be accomplished by strength or might, but by the Spirit of God. I beseech you; implore you, to free the people. More homeless are being created every day that another job goes overseas. Drug addicts, hungry children, violence, yet to you and those in power, these are just labels, pork barrel contents to be tossed away with the trash, line items to be cut from the budget. Is there anyone in your family homeless, on drugs, unemployed, no health care and with insufficient medication, not to mention the myriad of problems and challenges besieging not just America, but the rest of the world? There is too much land available for there to be so many to be homeless, helpless and hopeless. There are too many vacant buildings available. If you can condemn land and property to give it to some of your “special interests”, can’t the same process be applied to give land and vacant homes to those in need? If you can find billions of dollars to spend to kill people around the world, why can’t you find billions of dollars to help save people in America and abroad? I know, I know, it’s about terrorism, not about the oil. I know, it is not about who got Saddam and Osama (look daddy, I did it); I know, I know, it is not about ensuring that your family will be forever taken care of and letting everybody else fend for themselves.

Well, Mr. In Charge For Now, I want to take this moment to remind you of a few things. God allowed you to become Mr. In Charge For Now and God can take it away. Did you forget your responsibility as ruler? Let me remind you. I know, I know, you can’t really do anything because somebody else tells you what to do (so what if they are wrong). Might makes right. Mr. In Charge For Now, there is no justification to trample on the backs of lower and middle class America. Why can’t all weapons be destroyed (beaten into plowshares, remember that?); what justifies spending billions upon billions of dollars sending spaceships into outer space (remember the abomination in the holy place?). When will the sleeping lion of consciousness awaken from its slumber and eat from the fat of the land? How long will we be trodden upon? How long will lies be spread as truth? How Long -Not Long
The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound; To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn; To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified. And they shall build the old wastes, they shall raise up the former desolations, and they shall repair the waste cities, the desolations of many generations. And strangers shall stand and feed your flocks, and the sons of the alien shall be your plowmen and your vinedressers. But ye shall be named the Priests of the LORD: men shall call you the Ministers of our God: ye shall eat the riches of the Gentiles, and in their glory shall ye boast yourselves. For your shame ye shall have double; and for confusion they shall rejoice in their portion: therefore in their land they shall possess the double: everlasting joy shall be unto them. For I, the LORD love judgment, I hate robbery for burnt offering; and I will direct their work in truth, and I will make an everlasting covenant with them. And their seed shall be known among the Gentiles, and their offspring among the people: all that see them shall acknowledge them, that they are the seed which the LORD hath blessed. I will greatly rejoice in the LORD, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom docket himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorned herself with her jewels. For as the earth bringeth forth her bud, and as the garden causeth the things that are sown in it to spring forth; so the Lord GOD will cause righteousness and praise to spring forth before all the nations.
The God of Israel said, the Rock of Israel spake to me, He that ruleth over men must be just, ruling in the fear of God. And he shall be as the light of the morning, when the sun riseth, even a morning without clouds; as the tender grass springing out of the earth by clear shining after rain.

Take away the wicked from before the king, and his throne shall be established in righteousness. As a roaring lion, and a ranging bear; so is a wicked ruler over the poor people. The prince that wanteth understanding is also a great oppressor: but he that hateth covetousness shall prolong his days. He that giveth unto the poor shall not lack: but he that hideth his eyes shall have many a curse. When the wicked rise, men hide themselves: but when they perish, the righteous increase. When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn. The king by judgment establisheth the land: but he that receiveth gifts overthroweth it. The king that faithfully judgeth the poor, his throne shall be established for ever. If a ruler hearkens to lies, all his servants are wicked. There is an evil which I have seen under the sun, as an error which proceedeth from the ruler: Folly is set in great dignity, and the rich sit in low place. I have seen servants upon horses, and princes walking as servants upon the earth. The wicked have drawn out the sword, and have bent their bow, to cast down the poor and needy, and to slay such as be of upright conversation. Their sword shall enter into their own heart, and their bows shall be broken. A little that a righteous man hath is better than the riches of many wicked. For the arms of the wicked shall be broken: but the LORD upholdeth the righteous. The LORD knoweth the days of the upright: and their inheritance shall be for ever. They shall not be ashamed in the evil time: and in the days of famine they shall be satisfied. But the wicked shall perish, and the enemies of the LORD shall be as the fat of lambs: they shall consume; into smoke shall they consume away. The wicked borroweth, and payeth not again: but the righteous sheweth mercy, and giveth. For such as be blessed of him shall inherit the earth; and they that be cursed of him shall be cut off. The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way. Though he falls, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD upholdeth him with his hand. I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread. He is ever merciful, and lendeth; and his seed is blessed. Depart from evil, and do good; and dwell for evermore. For the LORD loveth judgment, and forsaketh not his saints; they are preserved for ever: but the seed of the wicked shall be cut off. The righteous shall inherit the land, and dwell therein for ever. The mouth of the righteous speaketh wisdom, and his tongue talketh of judgment. The law of his God is in his heart; none of his steps shall slide. The wicked watcheth the righteous, and seeketh to slay him. The LORD will not leave him in his hand, nor condemn him when he is judged. Wait on the LORD, and keep his way, and he shall exalt thee to inherit the land: when the wicked are cut off, thou shalt see it. I have seen the wicked in great power, and spreading himself like a green bay tree.

Yet he passed away, and, lo, he was not: yea, I sought him, but he could not be found. I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live: That thou mayest love the LORD thy God, and that thou mayest obey his voice, and that thou mayest cleave unto him: for he is thy life, and the length of thy days: And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD. Choose this day….
