Paddack. I fail to see how a dentist is qualified for this position in any way, shape or form.

Barresi is a right-wing nutcase dentist who wants to destroy public education...she is a rich, elitist, latte drinking, volvo driving, tooth-pulling, snob who had to create a charter school for her two special ed sons because they couldn't cut it in public schools.

Cooper is the only one running that is not a professional politician. He is not taking anyone's money, and will not owe anyone anything if he is elected.

What about Richard Cooper? He is a former teacher that is currently working for the Teaching American History grant. He is a life long educator with some new ideas. He has run his campaign with his own money, and will not owe anyone any favors if he wins.

Janet Barresi began her career as a speech therapist, then went back to school to become a pediatric dentist.

She has long been involved in the public schools; volunteer work, mentoring and PTA. She cares a lot about the kids, and yes, she did lead the effort to get Charter Schools started in Oklahoma.

From what I can find Paddock's experience in education has been at the university level, and more a bureaucrat than an educator. She cares about the teachers and the teacher's unions.

Actually Susan began her career as a Middle School & Junior High Science teacher. She taught in the classroom for 14 years. Janet was a speech pathologist (the cushest job in public schools - ask any teacher) for 2 years in the early 80's.

Janet's experience is as an advocate for Charter Schools, which do not adhere to the same standards as Public Schools.

Keep in mind the title is "State Superintendent of Public Instruction".

I am aware of the title.

I believe Janet is an advocate for the kids, and remains involved with early education.

I believe Susan will be an advocate for the teacher's unions

I do not care, as long as a child gets educated. One size does not fit all.

I think it is wonderful that Oklahoma allows options.

I DO NOT support the cookie cutter curriculum in the Public Schools.

I, too, have reasearched these three. Susan Paddack will get my vote. Barresi is for more charter schools, and this position is for Public School Instruction. Cooper, from what I have read, doesn't have much classroom experience, just worked in different factions that assist education.

Daily Horoscope for June 20

Libra

Make time today to catch up with any paperwork that's gathering dust or quickly becoming overdue. You'll find it's much quicker to get through than you'd thought, which will come as a nice surprise. Speaking of surprises, you could hear about an unexpected payment or bonus that will be coming your way. If so, it may not be huge, but it will certainly be welcome.
