I would like to say that this was WAY too close to HOME! This happened down the street and it sickens me that these young guys can't solve things without violence! When my temper flares up... I dont go and shoot someone, yes, I want to choke them, lol... but never kill them! They needed to get over the ordeal and play it out like adults, not like they live in the projects!

I only have one GOD and he is in heaven and thankfully the ONLY JUDGE for me and family. For all of u high and mighty better than thou, i pray none of your family gets in with the wrong people or caught up in bad problems and god forbids gets killed in the process. I pray for some type of comfort for these families. It is a tragedy to lose a child no matter what the circumstances. For you people to be so ugly, disrespectful rude and downright mean is the real tragedy. What you give out ALWAYS comes back to you one day - so LOOKOUT PEOPLE YOU ARE IN FOR SOME TRULY HARD TIMES after marking all of these ungodly remarks.

While I understand that it is tragic whenever one of our young people makes wrong decisions and loses his life, I'm not sure I understand how his aunt Delegate Jeion Ward from the peninsula sees that the Virginia House of Delegates needs to glorify his drug dealing thug life style with a memorial proclamation in the House of Delegates. To me this is totally out of line and it makes me wonder what kind of representative she is. I think that I'll cast my vote elsewhere next time.

A lot of students from Smithfield High have said numberous times on this post that they all knew that Tyrone dealt drugs at school and that he carried a gun on to school property. I'm extremely concerned that the student body knew this while the administration either did not know or chose to ignore it. Looks like we need to take a good look at whose running the school.

Two wolves - an interesting way of looking at things: One evening an old Cherokee told his grandson about a battle that goes on inside people. He said,' My son, the battle is between two ' wolves ' inside us all. One is Evil.- It is anger, envy, jealousy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego. The other is Good.- It is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion and faith.' The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather:' Which wolf wins?' The old Cherokee simply replied,' The one you feed.' My point is - It's good vs evil. Make the correct decisions and we wouldn't be having this debate!

If you wanna play the blame game blame it on the students. "Whatever" I don't know if you're "in the know" on how things work in today's society especially regarding todays youth but there's an unwritten no-snitching policy. Everynow and then some brave kid does come forward and report things such as guns in lockers but for every one reported ten slip by.

Sold drugs, had a gun at all times, fathered two kids by the age of 18.
What a piece of work. The world is a safer place today. The fact that any politician would praise this kid is outrageous. Everyone knew what he was doing including the family. Scared so many kids in school with threats with that gun! The only people he didn't scare were his close friends and they were dweebs too.

No kid was willing to snitch at school. It does NOT work that way. Ask T's football buddies about the quality of his crack!

As you put it "I am in the know" since I work in a high school setting. Our administrators, staff and especially teachers make it their business to know what is going on when it concerns the safety of our students. It sounds to me that the administrators at Smithfield High have a don't ask don't tell policy in place. You always hear what is going on whether rumored or not but at a caring school the administrative team follows up on everything.

I saw two punks fighting over a semi-automatic gun and yelled to get down. Then a array of gun fire broke out. On the floor of my car I repeadly tried to call 911 only to get a recording!!! Nobody knows what motivated this because it was probally Nothing!!! Are the days of meeting on the playground for a fist fight over? Cuz they looked like kids to me!!! Just glad that you were quick to act and that your Family is Safe. Wait Family? Yep that's what those gunslingers didn't have that you did... FAMILY! Again glad your family had the bond and you folks are alright.

well in my opinion there should never had a gun anyway i mean we have enough stupid idiots hurting innocent people i don't know why people fight over drugs i mean really is it worth your life or some body else's i mean i wish people would realize how much life is so valuable no one should have gotten shot over little bit of pot now family and friend have to suffer just because of drugs and when you think about it is it crazy how fragile one life can be i wish people would grow up and start realizing other people feelings and loved ones

Tired and Praying

It's hard to elieve that that are so many people in this world who actually enjoy other peoples misery. I've known Tee since I moved to Smithfield, he's sat in my living room on numerous occasions, and I must say, he's definately never been rude much less brung guns and drugs. As I sit here daily watching his oldesr daughter asking where her daddy is, saying how much she misses her daddy, and watch his grieving girlfriend struggle having just become a single parent I wonder how anyone could say such ugly things. He was a provider with a REAL job, one in which you pay state taxes just like everyone else. He was so loving that at the funeral above all people his poor daughter who didn't understand why he was "sleeping on that big pillow" wanted to be with him and only him. She has a picture of him she carries around daily and looks at for hours. His youngest daughter will never know him over such sensless violence. However, you people never stop to think about that, why? simply because you enjoy the drama. You think Momma Bridget and his brother G don't look at these things? That his girlfriend doesn't look at these things? Your very wrong. Stop being so hateful and let him rest in peace and let his family try to move on. As for JT he too is grieving, not to mention that he didn't even get to go to his best friends funeral. Now he is being accused of shooting him? I was not there, but I do know people very close to me who have seen the entire thing, and spoke to JT and none of them say that JT shot Tee, and if for some reason one of his bullets mysteriously shot him, he most definately do it on purpose. I am praying that JT beat the bulk of his charges and comes home soon, becuase his child needs him. What good is it that both familes children grow up without a father?
