I check the sex offenders website regularly to stay on top of my neighborhood etc. and so many of these guys jsut list their work address , or an unverified address.
In some of the pictures even of these guys they are allowed to wear SUNGLASSES and or have thick beards to wit they shave after the fact. There should be some more effort put into the ENFORCEMENT OF THESE LAWS....
Did you know a registered sex offender should not even have lights on his house or anything to attract kids for halloween ?

If they had not committed the crimes, they wouldn't have to worry about it.

They have plenty of time while in prison to do the research. The state has no responsibility to keep them informed.

THEY committed the crime, THEY are responsible for complying with the laws upon release.

if your a sex offender I think your time to play is over since you decided to "play" with someone else. you should all be locked up together and put on a island

Isn't Alcatraz on an island? Put them all there and let them prey errrrr play with each other. Sexual perverts CANNOT be rehabilitated and until politicians grow a backbone, this problem will continue to exist and grow worse.

There are 5 on my street alone. They all live within 3 blocks of an elementary school.Hungary springs/three chopt area seems to be a haven for these sick fools. If you have a youth group home near you,and they are everywhere, the state does not even have to notify you if they have 5 underage 18 sex offenders living there and you will not find them on any website. The state failed and has wasted a fortune on this website and this whole let them go then control them thinking. So tell us Governor, how many sex offenders live beside your wife sir?

OMG! By all means, let's make it easier for the worthless scum sex offenders. We wouldn't want them to get in any trouble while they cruise the streets looking for victims, now would we?
I can't believe they have ADVOCATES. What kind of trash must they be. ALL sex offenders should have to wear monitors 24/7/365 so we know where these perverted bas****s are at all times.

in this case I have to agree.child sex offenders need to feel the hatred society has for them.if they claim sickness humanely put the dogs down.

If on parole you can not have access to a computer therefore you can not look up the laws. As far as locking up on an island there are those that have committed nothing more than having a g-friend when 18 and she being 15. A number of people on the registry are not even convicted of a touch crime. Not to mention the ones who have been falsely accused. How can neighborhoods be safe if the offender does not know what his or her's restrictions are. And finally wouldn't it make sense to spend a little now to inform than a whole lot more to keep them in jail? A little research goes along way. The registry is watered down with to many folks that are productive members and have families and who will not pose a threat but simply want to move forward however the registry does not differentiate those from the ones who truly are a threat. What about the ones that have worked hard to right thier wrongs? There are those that have done things and have made amends and have helped their victims. Do not lump all into one group.

t47torx, being charged with being a pervert doesn't equate to being CONVICTED. There's a huge difference. Unfortunately our laws are being litigated ad nauseum, Kind of like throwing horse sh*t against the wall and see what sticks. Like there are problems said, The victim's receive a life sentence along with those who love them. From that kind of experience, there's no parole.

greg I agree with your statement about life sentence with victim and the family that loves them would you agree that the person responsible for that life sentence be given the chance to help the victim should the victim want it? Would you not agree that if the victim and the family want to regain control that they should be allowed too? My concern is that if given the chance to help after the hurt has been done but the hands are tied what good comes of it? Yes the shame that is involved is a terrible weight to carry for everyone involved but if able to help to show that one can make a difference as long as all person involved are in agreement who are we to take that a way from them?

Would that not be tantamount to going to the fox for help with the chickens? I guess you missed the point of them not being candidates for rehabilitation. The rate of re-incarceration for these "jewels of society" is extremely high for a reason. It is an incurable disease and people need to be protected from them. Remember Earl Gacey?

greg you may want to check your facts with doj. I think you may be a little miss informed about the rate of re-incarceration for new sex offenses. and yes some if given the chance can be quite successful in life with the proper counceling. Again I invite you to check the actual stats on recidivism and not simply media perception.
