mailbox bashing shooting

Anyone remember a few years back the name of the boy who was shot and killed for bashing mailboxes. Also the year that happened.

It was back in the late 80's. The guy that was killed was sitting next to my cousin. The guy that did it was aquitted. That's all I remember

the guy that was killed was Don Harrison. His granpda was a cop in Anderson around the same time. I went to High School with him. He was killed in the summer of 1989, right after graduation.

That was a very sad time for some of my friends. There were with Don the night he died. Anderson Guy if your still around which guy was your cousin, because I probably knew him.

It was one of the Mathews boys. I think Sherman. That's what I was told.

Actually it was Jay. His sister was my best friend. Which of the boys were your cousins.

All the Mathews boys were my cousins, but I didn't hang around them much. I still see Sherman once in a while and also my uncle Jay's boy, James.

Jay's sister is Syprina, right? That's my uncle Jim's daughter. They've all passed away now, except my mother. They lived over in Lanagan in a trailer up from the convenience store.

When I said they all passed away, I was referring to my aunts and uncles...

I actually used to live with Sherman, Jay and Syprinia at your uncle Jay's I also used to work with your Aunt Shirley at the nursing home in Lanagan I was really sad to hear they are all gone now

Very interesting. I used to have a girlfriend that worked with my aunt Shirley at the nursing home. Her name was Holly Katherine Dobias. Not sure about the last name spelling. Don't ever know what happened to her.

I didn't know her. I used to have so much fun with your family. They were really great. I was also really close with Tina and Bodie. I also lived with them for awhile, because me and Tina had the same schedule. Me and Steve's wife Donna Jo and I had alot of fun too. I was really sad when I heard Steve died.

Steve wasn't treated too good by his mama. He didn't happen to be one of her favorites. Years before Jay and Julie lived in Lanagan, he lived with my family for a while in Idaho. Jay used to poke me with a toothpick and say "get the point"? He was something else.

Yes, indeed it is sad when someone dies. On the other hand, I had been replacing my mailbox every damned week, and after that occured, I did not have mine destroyed again for 3 years.

I have been looking for Syprina since 94. Has anyone talked to her recently? I would like to know that she's ok, I just ran across this on Google. I visited Lanagan a couple of times.

I have no idea what she is doing now. I will ask Sherm when I see him.

I keep up with Tina and Bodie on FB. you can see them on youtube singing and playing. just use the search engine and put in their names.

Thanks, I live in Atlanta. She lived here at one time. I think about her all the time. I would like to know how she's doing. I'm not looking for anything else. If you ever see her, tell her turtle said hello. She gave me the nickname. She has a sister named Karen that lives here too. I appreciate you letting me know. Thanks
