You have got to be joking! There are a 130 Muslims in your neck of the woods? Good gravy, you guys have lost control of your own land. I really am shocked, feel for you too. Honestly.

We are soooo politically correct, I fear our society will not wake up until some horrendous damage has been done.

We are losing our sense of right and wrong, losing our pride in what we are - what we represent- and losing our balls.

There has been a great deal of misunderstanding regarding the Somolian muslims. Before Tyson brought them over to work, they had promised them a morning and evening prayer time. This is called religious accomodations. That means other groups have been accomodated too, such as Seventh Day Adventists not working on Saturday. Then new plant management entered the picture and they changed the deal previously agreed to. The Somali's were upset and then done something our forefathers would have been proud of---they stood up for themselves. It is sad that America has not come any farther than it has in its struggle against racism. Granted, Muslims are vastly different than Americans who believe in a different God. But this is our chance to be real Americans and embrace the ideals that make us great. Obviously, if someone regardless of their race was threating my family and American way of life, one must meet force with force in the best interest of ones home, possessions, and family. But they have shown no hatred toward us and should be judged individually, not collectively, when they do so. It is no different when a white person commits a crime. Are all whites lumped together? I think not. I encourage people to use common sense and impartiality when judging your neighbors, regardless of their race. Live on Dr. King!

I am not defending islam. I am defending people who are different from us but have done me no harm. Have you talked to the Somali's. Or, are you simply going by what you have heard. They were picking on africans, Somali's who are black, so it could well have been taken as racist.

If you were given a job with accommodations for your religion or being a new mom or disability and the company reneged, wouldn't you fight for your rights? You want people to assimilate-Americans fight for their rights-contractually and ethically. Praying takes less than 10 minutes and while technically, we can pray within a certain 'window' of time, we cannot just shove all our prayers together at once to make YOU happy-that is a special concession for travel, not obnoxious bosses.Additionally, we prefer to pray as soon after the athan is called as possible, and group prayer is right after the prayer call-men are supposed to pray in assembly,it is preferred rather than just wandering over to pray when you feel like it. Some jobs make this impossible (like surgeons, for example) and that is fair enough, but bosses who make it impossible after assurances otherwise are just a shame.
