due to this alleged drug bust the task force got 6 months funding. is it coincidental or is the bust a set up because of the occupants prison record. time was served so where is the justice

I know these people and the charges are totally false. This all came about because a demented ex girlfriend is trying to keep a father away from his son. The 19 yr old girl who gave the information is bi-polar and refuses treatment, is a drug addict, and an underage drinker. How can someone like that be trusted to tell the truth when she drives around Nocona with no drivers license, false insurance papers, stolen tags and stoled inspection sticker ? Where is the law when they are really needed to stop this kind of illegal activity?

The Media gives the wrong info ? Shut up until you know what you are talking about. The Media had video on the nes showing the (so called) "Task Force" picking up stuff in a field and putting it in a box then going to the home where the bust occured. Get a life LOSER

The homeowners are trying to clean their home of all people who mess with drugs. The people will not leave, we have requested the Sheriff's departments assistance. Sheriff's department will not help. Home owners cannot return to their home for fear of being charged yet again, for drug activity we are not involved in. If anyone out there would like to hear the truth, contact the homeowners.

Interesting story I read in the paper of the Bowie meth bust. But when I watch the news coverage it seems we have 2 different versions. I'm intersted in knowing how they lost their funding, but got six months for having a big bust in Bowie ? How can that be since substances that were removed haven't had time to be analyzed? I recently visited Bowie, and when I asked what there was to do in town the comment given to me was "you go to church or, you do drugs." I'm also interested in if anyone knows if hazmat was called in to clean up this massive drub bust. What was important on the 17 to the news coverage doesn't seem so important anymore. This family has requested assistance from local police authorities to assist them in removing people that are using drugs on their property. Since there are viewed as non-pillars of society, they get no assistance. I personally think that the results of the containers that were removed from the property, should be printed for the community to judge for themselves what the containers actually contained. So Mr. Newsman, keep up with the task force's findings and publish them so the community will know the truth. And to you Jim in Windthorst, you know so much about these people, makes me wonder, "how do you know them ?" I hope the task force uses the funding they recieved better now, than they have in the past.

Funding wasn't completely cut off in all areas. Montague County will have a special meeting next Tuesday I think to reconsider funding their share of the area drug task force. I do hope they can find the money to help out in any way possible. The task force needs the help,we need the help,"OUR CHILDREN NEED THE HELP"!

i agree, but the funding was approved for 6 months and the meeting is to determine the quanity of funding to be used. i live in the county so i might know what is happening here dont you think.

as for the task force, and children they do need our help. i am a law abiding tax payer but i do believe that innocent people are being charged for a crime they did not commit!!!!!!!!!!1

You know obviously there was a bust for some reason! I don’t think the Task Force or the officers would bust someone for no reason. Obviously the people that were charged wouldn’t of went to jail that day UNLESS there WASN’T drugs on there premises. Why argue with the system. I don’t understand how you can argue with evidence. I live in this neighborhood. I am not going to say there were drugs in this home or not that is for the police to know. But I will say if there was I do hope the people are put away!!! I’m sorry I have children and I don’t want them running around this neighborhood, with this being made in a barn down the street!! If you some how prove that this is all untrue, then okay they made a mistake…….. Let the law make the decision!

the system is not always right. i hope the poeple in this county know that some are innocent and still get charged with criminal activity because of who they are and where they have been.

Tammy, I know "the system is not always right" but there is a reason why the same people usually get arrested over and over again! I've never been arrested and that last ticket I received was about 20 years ago for which I was guilty. Most of us strive to be law abiding citizens and we don't have to worry about making the news or that knock at the door. I know jobs are hard to come by and my question is was anybody living with you gainfully employed? I've never known Anthony Cook to work anywhere. He seems to just ramble around from house to house or to Missouri and back and look for a place to crash. I guess you met Anthony and his mother(Ms. Cable) through Nocona connections?

Tammy and all those other druggies, know what was going on in that house??? You cannot stick you head in the sand and ignore things like nothing is going to happen. None of those people there were employed.... Oh, unless you count dope cook as a legitimate job! Cable, Cook, Gordon, Stewart... you name them, they are all the same... druggies. I mean, sorry, that dope has destroyed your family, but it's destroying a community. If you don't like the way the system works in Montague County, then get the hell out... Hwy. 287 & Hwy.81 runs north and south, take your pick.

i met anthony from my daughter when they were in school when i first moved to montague county. we lived in nocona. i told anthony and kathy both about 3 weeks ago that they need to get a job or move. then all this happened.

my husband is not able to work, my son broke up with his girlfriend and was looking for work, he finally got work.

Phillip was on unemployment since he lost his job.

I work full time and have a part time business.

I hope that answers your question
