Set up or not, if it were YOUR loved one KILLED by a drunk driver YOU'D be the first in line to point fingers. Grow up. They deserve everything they get.

I agree with Judie777..You need to check id all the time..Your Employer also gets in a lot of trouble
and so will the person selling the beverage...Its not worth someones life or your job... |

And its truly ironic. Whether your 19, 21 or 51 if you drink and drive you need to be put in jail, and people at these ages do it again and again. They lose their licenses and still drink and drive. The jails can't hold them all. |

i love the headline! "Shops busted for alcohol sales to kids" what kids?! 17 year old probably looked like she/he was a lot older. the person behind the counter made a mistake and they are going to pay for it, but do they have to make it sound like those people are some kind of monsters, providing alcohol for children?!

Yes scumbag, they do. It's the one important thing some dumbass like you working the register needs to do, check ID |

I have to agree with dumbass. When the government has to resort to tactics like this to enforce the laws then something is wrong. And I guarantee you that the vast majority of the alcohol that is consumed by minors is not obtained in this way. It is either bought with false ID, or by someone over the age of 21 who supplies it to the kids. So how much good are these "stings" really doing?
(don't answer, that was a rhetorical question) |

just one quick point
when the cops send in an underage person to buy booze and they get the booze why don't the cops arrest themselves for letting an underage person buy booze. then the person and the business get in loads of trouble for letting them selves be set up. I am however not for underage folks buying booze just yesterday some kid in front of a local store asked me if I would buy her booze I told the young girl to go tell the cops I won't bite.
