Members of Council have No Respect...

I wish I had been able to attend this evenings council meeting. I am appalled at what I have heard about the DISRESPECT Councilman Dave Casebolt, Attorney Richie Robb and two other council members showed to the dediction of the Gazebo at Ridenour Lake to the memory of a young woman who was stricken down and lost her battle with cancer.

I also can not believe that Mayor Casto and the remaining members of council said nothing about the abrupt leaving of council chambers by these individuals. An apology should have been issued on the spot to the family and the members of the audience who were there in support of the family of this young woman.

You know it is one thing that the disrespect members of council and a member of the public i.e. John Montgomery show during actual council meetings by talking and at a level that sometimes the Mayor actually has to use the gavel or the city recorder has to clear her throat loudly or even if she is the one talking stop and just look at them until they stop. But the disrespect shown to this young womans family is unacceptable on any level.

Nothing was so important that it could not wait until after this dedication or if it was so important should have been discussed prior to the council meeting.

I would like to apologize to the family of Halley who showed up to have their daughter honored by naming a new Gazebo at Ridenour in her memory. Not all members of the Nitro Community are so thoughtless and rude.

It was soooo disrespectful for the one councilman who wants to be mayor to walk out as a dedication is being done.

I wasn't there either does that mean I am Debbie Jordan. I heard about what happened last night about 9:30 or so from a phone call from one of the family members of the mother who was there to participate in the dedication of the naming of the gazebo for her daughter Halley.

For Dave Casebolt and the others to walk out as the presentation and dedication was getting started is disrespectful and shows there true character.

Dave Casebolt in my opinion walked out because Brenda Tyler was there for the dedication for this family. Which is just more digusting.

This man puts himself off as a christian man - I say he is a wolfe in sheeps clothing.

I guess since observation was there and stating that since I was not there I must be Debbie Jordan.

At the meeting, Rich Robb walked over to Joe Savilla about something, the two of them motioned for Dave Casebolt to join them outside in the hallway. At that time Craig Mathews was talking about the dedication of the new gazebo. When the three men started to walk out, Rita Cox said something to them and the three stopped and Mathews finished his talk. Afterwards, Joe Savilla asked the Mayor for a few minutes to discuss the matter outside. The three men should apologize to Mrs. Smith and end of subject. The rest of the added reasons Sheila(Debbie Jordan) and Big Bang (Tifiney Terry) has given to why Dave Casebolt walked out is just small town politics at its best. Sheila (Debbie Jordan) was not there and got her phone call from Brenda Tyler and then created this whole Topix incident out of a simple mistake. The citizens are tired of these tactics. Everyone grow up!

It does not change the fact that John Young has failed to report more than 900,000 to council. Convincing them the money didn't exist when in fact it was SURPLUS REVENUE from a prior fiscal year.

Priceless to know we have such idiots in city hall with Mayor Casto and Recroder Rita Cox. Also on council - Dave Casebolt, Jim McKay (two blind leading the blind men who want to take over for dum and dumber already in city hall) and then Bill Javins, Craig Matthews, Bob Fields, Joe Savilla and Bill Racer. These men have been duped (but not sure if all have been duped or if a couple have been in on it) so that when they possibly get into city hall can then spend the additional revenue to make it look like they have really done something if and when they are elected to the top two positions.

I guess time will tell and when the financial reports and records are reviewed we will see.

People should just start calling you the nosy Topix bitch that lives up the street. Quit crying about the town you live in, with all of the Corky Thatcher, brain-dead cops, and try to do something constructive like play in traffic.

The fact members of council the mayor and recorder have bought the fact JOhn YOung now says the money really didn't exist is a joke. Are they that dumb and easily led.

Or is it that a few council members know exactly what is going on? I guess time will tell and we will now sooner rather than later.

Yeah children burned in the Nitro City Pool. If the issue was as bad as you claim the pool would have been shut down.

Just like everything else being posted on this website it is a bunch of BS.

Please! Do you really think with the Jordan's in town the pool would actually shut down because of something like that? I know for a fact it happened. People were called to come and check a few children that were there. I also know for a fact that a couple of children were taken to the emergency room for the burns caused by high levels of chlorine in the baby pool. Ask Debbie if it happened since apparently you all or friends...or you're Debbie and don't want to confess that it happened and you didn't take responsibility. I also know for a fact that the pool was called by a parent that had both of their kids in the pool and both suffered from burns. When that parent called to talk to the manager, they were given an asst. manager because the manager, Debbie, wasn't available. I know for a fact that this parent was told that any bills that were received due to the ER visit would be paid for by the city. I know a little bit more about it than you do...I promise!

Jim why don't you give everyone the real story. The power went off and the timer to the baby pool was off. This is what caused the chlorine level to be high in the baby pool. It wasn't burns it was skin irritation.

Not one child was burned. This matter was reported and the proper procedures were followed.

Isn't there a certified pool operater in charge of the chemicals in the pool?

Councilman McKay didn't that same certified pool operator give you this information and clear that matter at your parks and rec meeting.

As for the Jordans being able to keep the Nitro city pool open if children had sustained actual burns. It is not the cities call at that point it is the county and Jack Jordan would not have the authority to over ride any order for a shut down.

Get over yourself you two faced blow hard.
