I am guessing you have never ran a bar or any other business yourself. So really you have no idea how hard it is to make a business work now days and you just have to learn that you cant make all the people happy all the time. I am sure that the owners of Short Creek are so tried of Caneys bullcrap right now that if you went and made a good offer they would gladly take and then you could put up with all the bullcrap. Or another good idea....if you dont like Short Creek...DONT GO TO IT. Find another bar that you can drink your happy self into a stupid idiot. That is why I dont go, I dont care to drink, I dont care for drunks and I cant afford it. But I dont sit on here and bitch about.

I also didnt state that YOU were complaining about SC I said that who ever bought SC could then put up with CANEY'S bullcrap. So I was not unaware or uninformed your topix is misleading of what you really want. Do you want new owners, new managment maybe it just needs new customers.

Why does everyone always jump to worse case scenerios...yes, I know I spelled it wrong. Anyway, I suspect the original post IS interested in SC & was just asking what types of entertainment &/or changes the community wanted so they could provide a fun place to go. No complaining was intended to my view. So now they are probably second guessing their plan because nothing is going to make us happy. Except maybe a good (any) reason to complain. I say cheaper drinks (at least some alchol in a $5 drink) & open both Fri & Sat.

Ok, Future Owners of ShortCreek, I have something to contribute. I think you need to contact Mr. Jeremy Berry since he seems to be in the know to discuss some "business". Find out the asking price and make the deal! Jeremy could serve as the liaison. Then, hire Jeremy back to assist with the marketing and to be the DJ. I know he did an exceptional job the last time I saw him there, which was New Years Eve. The band that was there, not so great, but they have a great following and the crowd was great! Between sets and at the end of the night Jeremy was the DJ. I hope this is legit and your not blowing smoke up my ass! Krista has been the DJ recently and it sucks! Less than 100 people there. The music was so bad I honestly couldn't believe the charged a cover. Ladies night? NEVER! Why? It's kind of like Field of Dreams but instead of building it, Buy it and they will come! Keep me posted.

PLEASE you must get Randy Rogers Band in there at least once! I have seen him three times in the last three months at three different venues: Tumbleweeds, Wormy Dog- Bricktown, Cains Ballroom. They have a huge following but with Short Creeks opening between stage and bar it will allow dancing with fans still able to experience the live show! They just played Cains to a sold out crowd at $21 a ticket. Look them up, do your research and marketing it would be a great opening to new beginnings.....you will have to reopen the back bars and maybe the old beer troughs for proper conductivity.

Yes it takes money to make money but it also takes great marketing ability not just someone who enjoys music and doesn't have a degree. Yes I've worked a bar behind the seens for 4 years in my early years and it thrived because of good marketing and went down hill after the manager left who had 2 degrees in business and marketing.(It wasn't short creek that I'm speaking of either).

I heard from a reliable source (Narc Flanders) that Short Creek is a haven for people wanting to engage in back room anal sex. They don't care if there's a big crowd so long as they have their little sex triangle in tact. Everyone there is bisexual no wonder we have all these bisexual teens in this town! I heard a while back they had an orgy benefit poker run, lubes, rubber suits, the works.
