Anyone know how the election results are going?

Fred Rummage is the new Mayor.
TLC got elected to the school board.
Sell you house and move away while there is still time.

Council - still being tabulated

Fred Rummage won Mayor.
Council will be annouce on Wed. morning
Tim Trivett, Anne Congdon, Mike Looney shook up the school board

Congratulations are in order for Fred Rummage. I think he'll be a good Mayor. Anything will be an improvement over what we have now and the direction we were headed. I believe Fred will concentrate on fixing the streets, water and sewer systems and sharing his power with the town council. Think your better than everyone Linda Crandell? I dont think so! You came in 4th out of 4 for Mayor and your husband came in 7th out of 7 for school board. Certainly your attitude about your daughters dog that left your yard to bite a citizen did not help. Looks like the campaign to keep you out worked. Sleep well.

HOORAY! The newly elected Colonial Beach school board will be a welcome change from what had become a closed door, secretive elected body who truly felt that they were above public scrutiny and responsible to noone but themselves. All three who were just put into office will place our children first, with true systemwide administrative accountability a requirement for all employed within our school system. Teachers will be allowed to be teachers, without fear of reprisal for not toeing flawed policies or receiving inadequate supervisory direction rubber stamped by the current board, and non-teaching staff members will no longer be bullied into doing anything that pushes ethical or legal limits or boundaries. Change will be slow in coming, but at least we've taken the first step in fixing a broken system and will be returning our schools to a truly superior level of educational excellence. Congratulations to the voters for doing what was necessary. In the end, the good guys won.

Too bad for our town. We have lost the ONLY person for mayor who has the financial background needed to fill that position. We wish the new mayor the best, but are sure the voters will realize their mistake within a year. It is easy to promise everyone everything, it is another to fill those promises.

Fred Rummage Mayor that is the worse thing that could happen to this town. I agree time to move. Any of the other candidates would have been better then Rummage. I guess they should have gone door to door like him.

He is a lot of talk and doesn't do what he says he is going to do. I guess the back door deals will still continue since he is the new Mayor.....
.....Hope he has more personality as Mayor then he did as a town council member.

Just exactly who is going to pay for all these improvements if we do not have another source of income, i.e. tourism

Does anyone know who the new town council members are?

The only thing that has been released is that Lyburn received 405 votes.

Lyburn got 405.
All the rest got 880 combined.
Lyburn is on the Council.

A whole-hearted congratulations to our new mayor, Mr. Fred Rummage! Now we can finally move out of the 'good ole' boy' days, into the present, and more importantly...into the future!

Where do you get your numbers from "hometown"??? They're not posted on the Board of Elections website and the numbers DO NOT add up. If you're going to post results, post them for all the candidates.
