P.S Doesn't it just figure that the only "no" would come from a person from Morgantown stating that it would be terrible if a teacher nursed a baby in front of her class. I agree that that is probably not the best place for it but I also would believe that a teacher would have enough sense to take the baby to the teachers lounge or at least cover the baby. Most women are modest and don't just go around flipping out thier breasts for all the world to see.

That's the true crime, isn't it??:P J/K, I'm happy this will make like easier for you! |

I am shocked I didn't realise there were civilised countries in the world that didn't allow public breast feeding, what reasoning is behind these ridiculous laws?
|

Flip em out hang em out what ever you need to do. When you see one breast ya got to see them all.

What hypocrisy! We allow a woman to be killed and demeaned in hundreds of different ways and some one gets upset about a woman doing a beautiful action as breastfeeding her child in the way their God intended the child to be fed. If not, why did He create Breasts that fill with human milk at the time of gestation? It was religion that has made the beauty of a women in clothes or unclothed the shame and disgust of some segments of society. GET A LIFE

1 shrl: Why does ignorance always state that people are racist, haters, hypocrits if the truth of the matter is quoted? Are you the gawker of someone breast feeding or the recipient of it? |

1 Yes! These terrible felons (mothers) should be HANGED, DRAWN AND QUARTERED for having the audacity to actually feed their children (Shock! Horror!) in a public place! Oh, is Hell too good for these wicked people? How DARE they, how very very Dare they! If the baby yowls for food, give it a mashed up Macdonalds! We don't want to be cluttering up our public places with these disgusting exhibitionists! No, we want Paris Hilton and Jade Goody to be able to walk down our streets, and not be insulted by the terrible sight of a naked maternal breast, with a healthy rosy cheeked infant giving suck! |

1 shrl: So you are saying one person that is an exhibitionist, such as Paris Hilton (I totally agree with you about her) should not show there body or remember Janet Jackson with the wardrobe mishap, that was a no no, but its okay if a mother flops her breast out in public for the sake of breast feeding. Again, where is the bottle that the milk was pump into? Why will no one address the pump, which is the convenience for milk later on. Oh, I get it, the mother wants to flop her breast out in public. Okay let it flop. Hmmm, I guess there is double standards. Also, for your side kick....LOL |

It's a hot day. You've been working so hard all morning. There's one thing on your mind right now - and yes, the're open! So you cross the road, you walk through the door and take your place at the long high table. You catch the eye of a pretty blond on the other side. "Yes?" she asks, raising one eyebrow. "A pint of Carlsburg", you murmer, "And a bag of cheese and onion". You watch her as she operates the pump, your eyes full of longing. At last, she stops pulling and hands you your drink. "What the bleeding hecks this?" you cry, as she hands you your drinks, in 5 bone china cups and saucers. "What the bleeding heck is this?"
"EEC regulations, love" she smiles back. "The same peoiple who banned breastfeeding in public places a week ago!" |

I have to strongly agree with what you are saying. When women feel the need to wanna breastfeed in public, they really arent as concerned about feeding a screaming hungry baby as they are having an audience and a spotlight on them. This sort of RUDE BEHAVIOUR has gone to a whole new other level more than just good nurishments and looking out for the babys needs. Its a spectator sport as what it boils down to |
|
"like the natural thing it is. " natural my ASS, so is urinating, but do we socially allow that in public argent??. Masturbating is also natural too like breastfeeding, but i highly doubt you would be applauding a mans choice to excercise his rights to do that in public since thats just as equally RUDE and offensive as breastfeeding in public |
|
Zoompad...you have no real intellect whats so ever to be debating this topic, you dont make one bit of sense whats so ever |

"It's about time a law is passed that will protect mothers who are doing a wonderful thing for thier children. " A law that will protect mothers rights to excercise the rights to go publicly indecent exposed just in the name of breastfeeding??. Well Melissa, there are also laws too to protect a persons rights to there first amendment to FREESPEECH OK!!!. If an individual at a restaurant or mall is highly offended by the sight of breast while a mother is feeding her child in public, he or she has the GODGIVEN RED, WHITE AND BLUE RIGHT to walk up to her suggesting politely like "mam...theres a bathroom if you need to use it for privacy". You cannot violate nobodys rights to there FREESPEECH Melissa, i'm sorry, why should a RUDE mother who wants to not respect my feelings or sensibilitys have RIGHTS that can trump over my rights??. Also...a nother thing i wanted to throw in Melissa is that when coming into someones private property wether if its your own home or someones privately owned restaurant, a mother who wants to breastfeed by all means should get owners consent before doing so. By disregarding there consent, this is violating a persons civil rights to there property. To just go and do what you want, when or however you want to without owners consent is also breaking the "NO TRESSPASS" laws which makes a society less civil. Just remember one thing Melissa, that when you are denied the rights to breastfeed in someones privately owned property wether if its there house or there coffee shops that is fully leased by the owner, there is no such thing as "WHATS MINE IS WHATS YOURS" sort of thing. first off for one Property rights are not "breastfeeding rights" Melissa just so you know. Two property rights are "who you want on your property rights", and three it is up to the owner of each property to decide what they want on there property and post a sign like "NO SHOES, NO SHIRT, NO SERVICES" or just strictly have a sign saying "NO BREASTFEEDING ALLOWED" In a case of private property rights over breastfeeding rights, The Government should NOT make these decisions for the property owners. Its time that we make a stand on GOVERNMENT CONTROL and not let the government govern our own property |
