BMG, it's the nighmare that keeps on giving.
What kind of criminal charges can you file. My brother was told their was nothing he could do. Like everbody else he's done all he can do, even had CTB have someone check out John Greys lot in Paintsville to see if his truck was there. Not only does he have to pay for a truck that he can't locate, but he'll lose his wife's HHR if he doesn't pay for the trade-in that can't be found.
If anyone has any ideas please let us know. bluelady99@hotmail.com

That is the bad thing in all this. Huey has stolen from us and no one seems to see it that way. I was lucky to get my trade-in back but I still have the car that I purchased from Auto Banc as well. University of Kentucky Credit Union gave them the money to pay off my trade-in but yet I'm the one who has to pay it back because Huey stole it. The cops, county attorney, attorney general and even the motor vehicle commission doesn't want to do anything to help us. We are the ones out a lot. Not to mention on top of all this I had to pay to get my trade-in back because they had parked it in from of the Golden Corral in a handicap slot. So i have to pay for towing and storage. The place had it for about 3 days before they were able to find me to let me know they had my Jeep. Any questions I can be contacted at wildchild19822004@yahoo.com.

Evidence needs to be acummulated but being an accessory B4 the fact, an accessory after the fact, obstruction of justice & 'harboring'... are ALL possibilities. That goes for salespeople & record keepers. It depends mostly on the efforts of the police AND the prosecutors office. IF Huey or his lawyers have the 'right' connections, everyone is screwed but Huey. IF our tax paid officials do THEIR jobs, Huey will become a 'prison b!tch' somewhere. Then he can get screwed too.

It's my understanding that the police aren't investigating anymore.
according to the commonwealth attorney the only charges you could press were for not transferring titles on the vehicle that was purchased. which they didn't waste any time getting those vehicles transferred. Has anybody recieved their titles get. I think my brother is still waiting on his.
Plus he paid 1700 for extended warranty that he did not get.
Seems to me that would be theft by deception or something.
I can't understand why nobody wants to help with this cause.
I have seen what this has done to my brother, and I feel for all of
you who were taken for a ride by this corrupt business man.

Huey (what a name) has ripped off people for years. IF the prosecutor does NOT persue this, we should find out if it's the county or state prosecutor and cast our votes in the next election.
Huey didn't just stick-up a gas mart one time, he has ripped off dozens & dozens of trusting but niave customers & financially destroyed countless families....IF there isn't a good number of class C & or class B felonies in here somewhere that prosecutor isn't doing their job & we should 'un-elect' them

Is he really that bad ? Doing this stuff intentionally to people ? Taking peoples credit away for life probably, and leaving them without a vehicle ? Or was it the company.

The Business Owner(Huey) is the Business. I can assure you this is not the way an honest Business works. Business is very personal and to own one the Customers come first. To hear the way people see this business sickens me as most people I know in the car business are very straight shooters. To make an honest profit is expected but getting what you paid for is also a must. Check out the Berea Topix for Britton Chevrolet and you will see where 4 people were indicted for the very same things as what happened at Autobanc. Not paying for warranties, not paying off trades, not paying sales taxes all are Crimes and this is not the Norm in this Business no matter how tough the times are. Don't believe for a minute Dealers think this is OK they get a black eye due to the few CRIMINALS that ruin the reputations of this Industry.

My question to all this is: If it's a Crime to have not paid for warranties or paid off trade ins why isn't the county attorney pressing charges against him? Why are the police not invertigating anymore? Everyone keeps telling all of us caught in this nightmare there is nothing that can be done. I have even called the Attorney General and the Motor Vehicle commission and they aren't looking into this. So we are all stuck with payments on two autos or in some cases having to pay for the trade in and not know where our trade in is. Why isn't anyone helping us? I don't know for sure how many are caught in this mess but I have a feeling it is a lot and that should be enough for the county attorney to do something!!!

I suggest that some of you that have been shafted by Auto-Bank/HUEY (what a name & that's not his 1st name) get together & find an atty that will take this on a contigency fee.
The atty might want a $$ fee instead of a contingency deal but together there may be a class action deal here.
I would start with some of you personally interviewing a few lawyers, find someone that willing, & then get back on here & spread the word as to who the lawyer is & what his/her advice is.

I remember quiet a few years back Ron Perry who had that Ron Perry;s auto mall in Louisa did the same exact thing. He had his car lot for years and his jolly ass went to jail for it . What is good for one is good for them all. Huey needs jail.

That's terrible. You would think that there would be some type of insurance required by dealers to ensure that this doesn't happen. It's so unfair to the customer who didn't do anything wrong. Some of these people will end up with repossessions because of Auto Banc's bad business. I wonder how many people had this experience? You should all get together and file a lawsuit against the owner and make sure that you don't pay for his mistake! I wonder if you could file a criminal suit against him in Jessamine county? Perhaps it can be considered theft by deception, considering that you, or a lender on your behalf have already paid for a vehicle that you are still expected to make payments on. I'd be making a call to the County Attorney. It couldn't hurt.
I think you all are missing the story here. Everything that you are saying is true. There is insurance for this kind of thing and there are laws in place to prevent this but these are used by reputable businesses and auto bank was obviously crooked. When you are running a crooked business all bets are off and all normal rules are thrown out the window. The reason why customers are stuck with two car payments and lost cars is simple, The business was crooked and didn't play by the rules for car sales and the customer suffers for it. It's very sad but true. If someone broke into your house when you're on vacation there are no rules and you can't compare them to a friend that comes over for a visit.

What you are talking about is typically called a 'Performance Bond' or terms like that. When it comes to car sales & a crooked person like Huey, a performance bond is totally inadequate. That's when the law or lawyers come into play.
