We ate there last weekend. FANTASTIC FOOD!!! Amazing service, quiet atmosphere---you can actually hear your dining partners' conversation--and a great wine list. This is NOT a Spasi/Barca/Prespa clone, but the prices are similar. I HIGHLY recommend this restaurant. Oh, and it wouldn't hurt to dress up a little. A real "special occasion" place!

Just like Spasi, Prespa, Barca, Rraci, and Castello, this is another Albanian-owned Italian restaurant.
And, they're all Muslim...although they're not the observant type.

Trust me when I tell you, this is one of the BEST restaurants that you will ever try. My family used to go to Mulino's in Fairfield quite a bit and we were all saddened by its closing. I am truly thrilled that they are back!!!! Anything on the menu is fantastic, you cannot go wrong!!!

Wow, a lot of people seemed to have tried this place after it's been open for only a week. I bet that all of these rave reviews are posted from the people who work there.

Albanians do not cook authentic Italian cuisine. All of the local so called Italian restaurants serve food that is good but pales in comparison to the real thing. Many local places actually use canned commercial sauce.
Go to Arthur Avenue in the Bronx or to some of the better places in New Haven and compare for yourself. If there's no guy named Vinny or Sal in the kitchen, it's fake.

Nothing wrong with that. My grandfather was off-the-boat Italian and yet unless you're in East Hartford or the Bonx, most of the best Italian food is made by Greeks or Albanians. The best pizza in town, imnsho, is from Mykonos.

Yeah, what's the deal, who cares if they're Albanian? They can cook! They can serve! And judging by the pictures, they're good-looking, if you ask me.
Just because they are Albanian does not mean they can't choose Italian cuisine to cook and serve!

I'm tired of Albanians passing themselves off as Italian with made-up Italian-sounding names like Barca's "Tony Ramadani" (Ramadani = Ramadan + i)- again, they're all Muslim.

It's like they're misrepresenting themselves. It's akin to when you call tech support for your computer and you anticipate talking to an American. However, your call is patched through to some guy sitting in India and he tells you his name is Ralph, or John, or Louie. Pretty soon we'll have a bunch of refugees from Kenya come over, change their names to Vinny Barberino and Tony Manero, and open up Italian restaurants complete with Italian mood music and trying to convince you that they're the real thing. It's also interesting to question how many of these Albanian restaurant owners are sending cash over to Kosovo, which has been going through a clash of cultures for decades. I know a bunch of Albanians from The Bronx who do it all the time.

I can't dumb it down for you, but I assure you it's a funny regional joke. also, how did you conclude I hate average Americans or NASCAR legends? how dare you question my loyalty to AJ Foyt!
