Im 17 and I had trobles finding a job all last year. I tried everywhere, no where would get back to me. So in the end I tried McDonalds. And I had a phone call 2 days later asking for an interview.
Try McDonalds, or any fastfood resturants, it may not ben the most glamourous job going but you meet so many people and get paid too.

First of all, if all of you are actually 17, I'll run outside right now and swim in my freezing cold, chemical-laden pool.

Second, if you need a job, GET YOUR ASS OFF THE COMPUTER AND GO POUND THE PAVEMENT. Dress up, no sneakers and hoodies and jeans. Go in looking like you actually want a job. You wonder why these places won't call you back? You look like idiots, thats why. Stop acting like you are entitled. Grow the hell up and do what everyone else does. Stop whining and start earning your own money. There are plenty of ways to find jobs, there are plenty of places that will hire you. What I've noticed in my 10 years of working is this:

-Don't be picky. Just because it's a fast food place or a grocery store, doesn't mean it's beneath you. Your friends may laugh, but guess what? You have the money in the end.

-Don't swear or use slang if you manage to get a call-back or an interview. Talk like you're talking to your grandmother.

-Don't expect everything to be handed to you. There is a reason it's called work...because that's what you have to do there.

-Actually listen to your superiors. They have been there before. You haven't. Deal with it.

-Don't give your friends free food or drinks or anything. Wanna lose your job fast? That's the way to go.

-If you find work in a grocery store, actually concentrate on the orders you're ringing in. Your customers will thank you for it, and so will your boss.

I'm not trying to tell y'all what to do, but let's get serious here. I train people for a living. I see a ton of you snobby 17 year olds acting like you're so much better than everyone and acting like you know everything. Not only do you make it harder on those who have to work with you and your enormous attitude, but you also make it harder on the customers who depend on you and the skills you are supposed to have.

In short, if you really want a job, you have to go in there confident and acting like you're serious about it. The main reason employers don't call you back (besides lack of experience) is that they feel you aren't serious, that you just don't care. Start acting like you really want it, show some initiative, and dress appropriately, and you will get what you want.
