Dunlapian wrote: <quoted text>Sassy, by definition I don't think President Obama ever compromised. If he did that would mean the Republicans would have to meet him some place in the middle, which never happened. Since they wanted him to fail as a president.......which means America fails. But America will not fail! Dunlapian, you're exactly right...Obama just had to take whatever he could get passed through the Republican-controlled House or he would have had nothing , at all. I stand corrected.:)

But, I don't expect that to happen and we'll all be the worse off for it, IMO. It's a sad time in American Politics. You had a chance to see all that at the Republican National Convention!

Well he shoved Obamacare through without the Houses approval. Against the overwhelming opposition of the majority of American voters. And seems to ignore Congress too, when it suites him. I can not see him standing on his record for the past 4 years either. He hasn't been very popular. Promises broken, no transparency as promised.. He has a lot of hurdles to get over.

That just makes you a prime target for them to pull the wool over your eyes and cut your throat at the same time. They may do that to me, but I won't make it easy for them. We are still talking about Politics, aren't we?:+) It takes you 500 words to say one thing.I don't pay attention to people on lower level like you.

Nothing. The convention was a social gathering in essence. To officially nominate the candidates, and introduce them to the general public. And give a a little incite as to who they are. They touched bases with the issues but the real platforms and proposed solutions, will come after the DNC. When the real campaigning begins. It happens like this every election. Be patient.

But, with a caveat, it's unprecedented for a Candidate to not even mention our Troops at a time when they are deployed to another Country on a War basis...and in this case, TWO Wars in 2 different Countries! Unbelievable!

And let me guess, you only checked the Conservative Polls and Websites.:) I really don't know how anybody knows if they like it or not, even Conservatives, since they won't see how it works until it's fully implemented in 2014 and the Teapublicans have done a PR Blitz against it with nothing, but false information! But, I do know that the main reason the Democrats don't like it, if they don't, is because they wanted the "Public Option" and I would have preferred that myself. But, I understand why Obama had to again, "compromise" and give in to the Conservatives, in order to get anything , at all, passed in the House! The only reason the Conservatives allowed that to pass was because they were bombarded by their Constituents in support of some kind of Healthcare Plan and they saw their future re-elections going right out the window, if they didn't vote for a Healthcare Plan, of some kind!
