You know, Dunlapian, I've been reading about this for awhile now & I didn't say a word. I didn't agree with it, but I thought they're out of the Military now & they have the same Right to express their opinions that anybody else does.
But, when I read that they altered the tape of Obama's speech, my respect for them dropped to zero, not because of Obama but because I expected Ex-Navy SEALS and Special OPs Guys to have more integrity than to condone something that dishonest, much less be a part of it.
I listened to Obama's speech carefully & I can tell you for a fact,that he heaped praise on Navy SEAL Team 6 & the Nameless SEAL (by the SEAL's request) who actually took Bin Laden out. I watched specifically to see if he gave them the praise they deserved and he did an excellent job of doing exactly that.
Trust me, had he not, I would have been on that phone so fast, calling the white House Comment Line & I won't even tell you what I would have said other than he could kiss my vote, "Good-bye"! But, that call wasn't necessary because he gave them more than ample credit for the magnificent job they did! Much more! I saw it with my own eyes & heard it with my own ears!
And now, this deceitful Bunch comes along & takes that away from him & them? I think it's dishonorable, disgusting, & deceitful & they're not worthy now, to carry the honor of being a Former Navy SEAL nor a Former Special OPS Member! I don't know what's happened to them, but they shame All the other Members, not because of their Political Beliefs, but because of their dishonesty! Of all our Veterans, I would have expected better from Former Members of such an elite Group of Warriors!
I think I'm more disappointed & disillusioned than anything else.

Some of my own family members and close friends work for the Merchant Marines(officers) and the railroads, which all have Unions and recieve subsidies from our government yet they are very pro Republican, which are very anti-union and anti-socialist.
Then I have other family members that are in the oil drilling business(drilling boss) that is heavily subsidized(one of Paul Ryan's favorite) yet they also are very anti-socialist and Republican.
I just don't get it.

I don't get it, either, Dunlapian. It has to be more of a gut reaction to the Candidate , or the President as a Person, or Brainwashing...I don't know anything concerning what it could be, I only know that it can't be based on the issues with People such as you described, unless they have been badly misinformed & just don't know any better on the Republicans part. Maybe, the Oil-Driller knows something that Republicans don't that makes him support the Dems, like stopping the Keystone Pipeline was the right thing to do? I'm just guessing, in an attempt to try & understand it all.
