The important word is "confirmed". They are giving out less than 5 tests for H1N1 in the county a month, so of course there haven't been very many confirmed. Doctors are telling patients that if they have a fever to assume that it is H1N1. As a mother of a son with asthma, I was hoping he would be high priority on the list of people getting the vaccine. They started giving it in the grade schools last week. I was told that my son can expect to receive a permission slip for the vaccine after Thanksgiving break. One of the things that makes me angry is that Public Debt ordered vaccines and have already given them to their employees. When I inquired, I was told they got them first because of when the vaccines were ordered. I suggest that the person from Public Debt that knew to order vaccines early get hired to work for our County Health Department since obviously they are more educated on the subject than the person in charge of it right now.
