"Verizon plans to sell service to all 347 households in the small city within three years"
Hardy har-har. Don't hold your breath folks if this is correct. If it's not correct, then this is another example of how the DP is FUBAR. |

This same sub contractor illegal’s dug the holes in Colony Pines.(Verizon claimed in a DP article that they did not know the sub hired illegals). Caught them Wolf Whistling at my daughter. That is when I called and raised hell with outside plant......However; the service is Superior to Cox in all aspects. |

...and soon, Poquosonites will be complaining about Verizon. But at least Verizon will have your money.

Yeah next you all will be finding something to gripe about with Verizon. Just stay with Cox.. you'll end up back with them anyways.

I had Cox for many years (ie)TV and Internet both were awful. Internet was down more than it was up--audio and piture on TV was rotten. I have had FIOS through Verizon for about a year that is TV, land line, cell service and very fast Internet its all great no complaints at all. I write one check for about $180.00 and that covers everything. Not counting the land line (regular telephone line)I was paying about $150.00 to cox for sub-standard service. When we contacted Cox about the awful service they made it seem like it was our fault and didnt do anything to try and correct the problem----funny thing when we got FIOS our problems all went away. We didnt change TV's or computers but everything cleared up.HMM funny. So Verizon Fios (fibre optic)is the best for the money. As far as illegal alliens----I dont care for that but Verizon can get away with that by saying they are hiring sub=contractors and they were not aware that the alliens were illegal and some were not. Some of them had their green cards. Being a life long Union member I do wish they had used telephone company employees and they did when it came to connecting the FIOS. That was done by Verizon employees because it was a techinical job that these sub-contractors couldnt do. Go Verizon its good stuff!

I'll probably end up staying with Cox. The service has been pretty reliable. But I definitely like the idea of competition. Helps keep the prices in check.

1 and why would that happen? I had Cox for abot 6.5 years before switching to Fios. Verizon's service is better, faster and I pay less each month than I did with Cox. I will not give up my Fios to go back to that terrible service. |

It depends on luck of the draw really. I have Cox and my internet service is hardly ever down. I would say less than two days every four months, if that. My sister switched to Verizon and her internet has been down more since she got it than my Cox has been down in all the years I've had it. The point is there are going to be dissatisfied customers with each company and there is no way they can please everybody. Some have trouble with Cox, others have trouble with Verizon. Some claim crappy customer service with both companies while others have had wonderful customer service with both companies. Some have had wonderful service from each company. You can't blanket an entire company as being bad or good unless they have either 100% satisfied or dissatisfied customers. |

I will definitely stick with Cox. I refuse to ever do business with Verizon again. I will not even buy LG products because I have been told that they are owned by Verizon.
I could rant on my reasons why, but I won't. Cox is better, in my opinion. |
|
Yep. I never have issues with CoX. I had one glitch in the past and the technicians were far more than helpful and went above and beyond my expectations. Verizon is expensive too.... not worth it.
