Full story: The Reporter

As the back ramp of the C-17 Globemaster opened, swirling clouds of dust parted to expose the baked, cracking earth that came alive with airmen unloading the cargo and greeting those on board.

Wow, real M4 Rubber rifles! Standard issue in the Air Force? LOL! To lazy to clean a real M-16 rifle at the end of the day? Unable to keep track of sensitive items by serial number?

Man, how embarrassing. Airman holding rubber rifles on the front page of the local newspaper.

I feel so safe this morning.

They are paracticing self defense techniques, not live fire or simulated fire techniques. Simulated weapons are standard for this type of training.

I'm so happy I don't have to play their damned games anymore. I got my money's worth and I hope they do too! I came in at the right time (summer of '79) and I retired at the right time (spring 03--just as the Iraqi intervention was kicking off). Too bad I can't convince (I've begged) my kids to go partake of all the fun! Perhaps they saw too much they didn't like!

Rubber rifles. I'm just laughing. I trained my men in self defense too, never with rubber rifles though. LOL! I did take away a bayonet from a private one time when I thought he might hurt himself with it though. Gee, should I have given him a rubber bayonet? LOL!

I am not only proud of all of the men and women who are fighting for us but I am extremely proud of the parents of special needs kids who must leave their children to protect and serve us, not knowing what each day holds for those delicate children left back home in the US. Thank you Lt. Col Pruett!

Sad to see there are so few supporters of the military. I think Ms. Bennett si kind to show her support also.

I am sorry you have nothing else to do but try to be pithy. I guess some of us have to work to support lazy liberal welfare cases. This is the last time I look at local liberal newspaper articles. I am far too busy to waste my time ready these left wing biased comments. Hope you take time to respond since I will NOT waste time to look and see if you do...

Daily Horoscope for December 9

Pisces

You have a one track mind today, dear Pisces, and it's running along very ambitious lines, absolutely determined to achieve something you've been attempting for ages. Can you be so committed that you're prepared to let everything else go by the wayside for the time being? That's great, but don't become obsessive about it.
